I have stayed here several times and the rooms are always spotless. It has modern furniture, fully equipped kitchens, and rooms are spacious. The area in general is a little more expensive, but it's a great value for a suite.

This hotel was absolutely terrible. The floors were dirty.
This hotel was absolutely terrible. The floors were dirty. There were no dishes in the kitchen, the toilet leaked, there was no lighting, except for one lamp, it smells like dog, it was very outdated and dismal. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they refurbish it and re-renovate it. It was not worth the money that I paid. In fact I need a refund.

I liked That the hotel
I liked That the hotel
was near lots of different restaurants and places to shop and visit , what didn't like us that I booked a room with balcony and was looking forward to enjoying the lush greenery surrounding the area but was told it was upon availability, I believe I was charged accordingly, because I wanted a balcony, this was my 25 anniversary, I can't fly so we decided to drive from the city to Columbia , it's also too hot outside fur a heated pool and ended up getting a rash because of poor water temperature and cleanliness of the pool it summer time why have hot water in a community pool we are still dealing with COVID and other bacteria, I got out immediately when I realized the water was hot I'm a wheelchair patient that was not healthy ..

In additional to Exceptional hotel.
In additional to Exceptional hotel. The surroundings were nice. My wife and I went to a wedding reception for my nephew. The restaurant was the Stanford Grill. The restaurant is right next door to hotel. It was nice and food was better than most restaurants. I like fresh air. So, I opened the window at the hotel. I do not like air conditioning unless I am visiting the Sahara or Death Valley.

The kitchenette was very convenient.
The kitchenette was very convenient. The bed was nice and the renovations were thoughtful in it’s design.
However and if I may, the hallway carpet needs to be replaced with something more conducive to high level traffic and smell.

The room had a marijuana smell in the kitchen area of the...
The room had a marijuana smell in the kitchen area of the non-smoking room that I had. And I have asthma. The toilet had stopped up. And I called for someone to come unstop it and the front desk told me that I had to do it myself. Then they gave me a cheap plunger to plunge it with. So it took along time. They had a kitchen with no utensils or dishes. I had bought food but had nothing to eat it on or with. The front desk also props the front door open to the property at night. We arrived at about mid night and the desk clerk looked like he had just woke up.
The customer service. The toilet in my room was stopped up I went to the front desk to ask to send someone up stairs to my room and that was 9am when I returned to the hotel at 10pm the toilet was not fix. I called down to the front desk the receptionist stated that the engineer was gone and won’t be back until tomorrow than she stated to me did I want a plunger. So my husband had to do the hotels job disgrace. I definitely will not be coming back here.
The room was smelly. It was supposed to have been non-smoking, but the the room had the scar of cigar/cigarette/drug use. We could not sleep well.
We tried to change the room. The hotel staff told us to contact booking.com. I contracted booking.com waited on the line for 40 minutes. No use and then I sent two messages. No response from booking.com for those two messages.
Hotel was thoroughly comfortable - from sofa in king size room to the options of lighting in bathroom, dimmer in toilet/bath section to brighter in dressing area. Pool and outdoor sitting areas were amazing.
Staff helpful and friendly. And WiFi worked without having to call the front desk! A lot of value at this property.
It was convenient to my second job. I needed to take a shower and change clothes cause I just got off my first job, which is in Ellicott City, and my second job is off of Columbia Gateway. When I got off work from my second job, I ended up staying the night since I paid for the room. The room was really nice comfortable bed.
We love the Columbia Inn (we just call it The Peralynna :-))! The staff is excellent, and the building is great! We always have a good time, and enjoy the seclusion when visiting Ellicott City. My wife and I booked the Suite, and loved the multi-room feel of it. It was like a home away from home! The bed was AMAZING!!!
Traveled from NYC on thanksgiving day. We were able to check in a hour or so early . Everyone was so nice . The room was gorgeous and spotless . The bed was so comfortable !!!! For a king room, it could’ve had bigger or more pillows . Parking was easy and nightlife in the hotel was lively .
Highly recommend.
It’s location was great! Just about any place to eat or shop was within 15 minutes of the hotel. 20 minutes from Baltimore and about 35 minutes from DC. We felt very safe in the Columbia area.
The Hampton Inn was the nicest small hotel I have stayed in for years. I travel a lot to places where the hotels are not as good as Hiltons. I was astonished with the quality of the hotel.
The hotel is very nice. Looks very new and modern.
The room was clean. I didn’t have time for breakfast but coffee/tea is ready in breakfast room and was very nice atmosphere.
The hotel was so nice. The staff was so nice. My room was amazing and very spacious and comfortable. They give breakfast, has a pool and a gym. I would stay there again.
The location is dirty it smells . The elevator was broken . I would never ever stay that location again . The company should be embrassed with condition of the hotel .
The staff was very friendly and professional. For a 3-star hotel like sonesta to provide comfort at lower rates then other 3-star hotels is a steal for your stay.
Loved the room but the TV was small and couldn't hear it and the captions were too small to read. Didn't watch the movie because of that. Do like the layout
