Even though when you see Wyndham Gardens on the internet and they trick you into seeing that it's nice and they offer many amenities, they do not. THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR SO YOU BETTER PRAY EVERYTHING IS PERFECT BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE THERE CAN HELP...AND SOME CANT EVEN SPEAK TO YOU OR UNDERSTAND YOU BECAUSE THEY DO NOT EVEN SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ONE WORD OF ENGLISH...ALSO BREAKFAST YOU CANT TAKE NOT ONE ITEM BACK TO YOUR ROOM.OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED. SOME OF WHAT YOU WOULD CALL RUN DOW HOTELS WOULD PROBABLY PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE TO YOU, As this was my experience.

The place is falling apart.
The place is falling apart. Towels and beddings should be replaced. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. But the bed was suprisingly comfortable and room quiet which was really nice as the hotel is close to the airport.

Got to the property after paying own transportation to get there when they advertised a shuttle from the airport. No electricity, flooding, toilets were not working people charging phones in nearby hotels. Unable to cancel my appointment on their system due to no power, so they said I had to contact booking who refused to refund me for a room I did not stay in due to no power and electric. Avoid booking and this hotel at all cost worst customer service experience ever

The main entrance was closed.
The main entrance was closed. They should have had better signage to show where it was. After going around the Hotel twice, I called to find out how to enter. It was a side exit behind the gas station that was in front of the door. We walked down a long dark hallway to where the front entrance was. The floors were all torn up, there was plastic covering the area that used to be the front desk. The young girl was very nice and said we could see the room first. I told her I wanted to check if the TV and Air were working. She rushed us out of the room before the TV came on. We went and finished checking in, went out to get our bags, went back to the room to find out the TV was not working and the bed was queen size and not the King that we paid for. I went back to the front desk that was just portable tables set-up in the main room and asked for a room with a working TV and a king bed. There was a new girl there, she just stood there looking at the computer. I thought she was looking for a new room for us. After standing there for 10 minutes I asked her again if we could get another room. She replied, it's been 15 minutes and we needed to change rooms before that. I tried to be as nice as possible and asked her again to change rooms. I asked if they even had a room with a king bed and a working TV. She wouldn't even answer me. I said I would like a refund. She told me I was rude and refused to talk to me. We went back to the room and retrieved our bags and left. I have never be treated that way at a hotel.
There is no false advertising with this place. It's clean, high end, and functions like a well oiled machine. All the staff are lovely! But despite us not being there to use these facilities, my husband and I did note the very nice and spacious meeting rooms on the lobby floor. If you've go the cash or can afford to spend extra to ensure a solid rest before flying in and out of DTW, we highly recommend this hotel.
It's a well invested Hilton property. What more do you need to know?
Moe (Mohammad I guess) at breakfast, was the only one in about 5 different hotels I visited in the US which knows the meaning of hospitality. Kind, smiling and sincere. Thank you Moe you restored my faith in hotel staff in the US. Also shuttle driver made me very happy, an Iraqi man that served for the US militairy by translating for the Armed Forces
The location of this property cannot be beat. We were leaving out of the attached international terminal the following day so our stay made everything so easy. The property was clean as was our room. The beds were very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good and healthy for hotel food. For the most part, the staff was very helpful.
Did not see any breakfast. Shuttle for airport left without us! Suppose to leave at 6:30 AM. We got to door at 6:24 it had left and they had our name! Girl at checkin, not apologetic and said next one in 45 min.Kind of rude uncaring attitude! We checked our car in the night before which was across street because of the hotel shuttle!
Shuttle -- just calling reception is enough -> excellent.
At night, shuttle also works, but requires a bit of waiting which is reasonable and OK (every 30 mins).
Check in is quick and no security deposit required, unlike nearby hotels.
Coffee maker + USB charging ports worked fine.
Check-in was very easy. Staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was also good. The prices were great compared to other hotels in the area raising their cost for a room because of a power outage. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were clean and also very quiet.
I was looking for an inexpensive hotel near the airport as I was flying out on early flight. It had a free shuttle between the airport, and good numbers of stores and fast food restaurants nearby, making the stay convenient.
There is a shuttle that goes to the hotel from the airport and a Bob Evans next door for breakfast. Clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation, air conditioner worked amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful
The breakfast was fair in comparison with other hotels I've stayed at. The location is excellent for travelers to and from the airport. I really enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere at the hotel.
after 27 hours of flying I needed a bed, this hotel was fine. the bed was comfy the room was quiet. Facilities are a little dated but of no concern when all I needed was a comfy sleep.
The hotel is located a mere few miles from the Metro Airport and is, thus, good for a layover stay or a very early flight. It has several fast food restaurants within walking distance.
Pillows were so comfy, slept great. Very clean hotel. Soda selection could have been better, no coke or Pepsi only cherry Pepsi. And the only diet was my dew.
