The room was clean (at least) but smelled a lot like bleach. The (female) receptionist that assisted us when we arrived was very kind and gentle.

The room was huge which for a 4 night trip was really nice. The fridge had a small freezer section that worked wonderfully and the bar had a sperate little sink. The blinds were great and kept the room nice and dark. The bathroom is massive with a tub you could swim in. Lots of walkable restaurants nearby but the hotel breakfast looked amazing if you just wanted to stay in. The pool is short but a simple rectangle that never had kids in it so we were able to swim "laps". The gym was large and had sufficient weights and machines to get in a solid workout. You can easily do your cardio outside the hotel as out back is a lovely neighborhood where I felt totally safe running solo.

I like the location, the rate and the friendly staff.
Buffalo is rich in history and architecture. The eating places downtown rival any that I have dined in all over the world. The reason for my visit was twofold. My friend and I spent a day at the Albright Knox Art museum. Like the cuisine, the gallery rivals many that I have visited. It was not so large though, that you could not do it justice in one day.
The shopping on day two at Walden Galleria gave us such delight! It was full of bargains.
Buffalo has something for everyone.

Do not miss the Frank Lloyd Wright house or the AKG (Albright Know Gallery art museum) or, of course, Niagara Falls. Walk around...beautiful neighborhoods of well kept large old homes and funky shops everywhere. Appealing shops, excellent restaurants, and affordable!

Buffalo has so much to offer.
Buffalo has so much to offer. From the waterfront with great restaurants, boat charters, and kayaking and canoeing, to the beautiful architecture and interesting museums, the whole city feels alive with wonder and intrigue. It has a little bit of everything - if you want to feel small amidst skyscrapers and disappear into the crowd at a show, downtown is your spot. If you want to escape to the country for a stroll through the woods or gallop across sprawling fields, head to East Aurora or Newfane. There is shopping everywhere - great unique boutiques with special one-of-a-kind treasures, high-end department stores with all the new stuff, restaurants with five-star offerings from around the world. Buffalo is definitely a world-class destination with hometown charm. Diverse and alive with life and opportunity, this All America City is definitely one to visit if you're looking for a special place.

We visited the Buffalo Zoo, which is the third oldest zoo in the country. It was under renovation but it was nice, small compared to other zoos I've been to. I loved that it was in an old neighborhood and easy to access. Lots of places to shop and great wings, pizza and craft beers. Of course if you are close to Buffalo you have to pop over to Niagara Falls which is always beautiful to see and a short 30 minute drive.

The location was great.
The location was great. Took us no longer than 20+ minutes to get anywhere. Lots of walkable restaurants. However, the beds were not queen size, they were maybe twin or double. Also the pool and hot tub areas were down when we went to use them. I'm not a fan of having to pay $15 a night just to park my car. Shouldn't that be part of the stay? $220 to stay in a room with small beds and no pool/hot tub and then more money to park. Nah, not right. We went to the Bills stadium. Casinos, put put, Niagara falls and wax museum.

As far as the City of Buffalo, I knew what to expect.
As far as the City of Buffalo, I knew what to expect. The property could use a little more human touches, i.e. more towels, there were no face cloths available, there was some paper products (kitchen and bathrooms) but not enough to sustain our stay (we did purchase more). The house was very clean and spacious with enough bedrooms and baths to support our group.
I liked the historical elements of the hotel, the original tile in the bathroom. I thought the choice of the gray, wood-grain laminate flooring in the room was hideous. The furniture was worn and could have had a furniture polish all over to cover the nicks and scrapes for cosmetic purposes. The GFCI outlet in the bathroom had been tripped and the lights frequently flickered. The vent in the bathroom was covered in lint/dust and could stand a good cleaning as well as the light shades over the counter at the front desk.
We had the unfortunate experience of being caught in the US when all the borders were closed. Luckily we got a room here to wait it out. In the early morning someone thought it would be funny to call in a mass shooting report and they sent a swat team. Thankfully we did get to go home that day. The hotel staff were very compassionate and understanding. Very helpful in an unpleasant situation
This place is truly a hidden gem. It does not look like a hotel from the outside...or the inside for that matter. It has the feel of an artsy inn and is exceedingly well decorated. Check in and check out is done remotely which is convenient. The room was very spacious and comfortable albeit with a small bathroom, but that was okay.
What I personally liked was the location of the Hotel. Definitely the gardens and the architecture are really nice. Also I found the personnel quite friendly. They had my luggage and took care of it all Saturday and part of the Sunday. The room was comfortable and had everything that was necessary.
Parking was offered (for a fee) at a nearby garage, where we could come and go as we pleased for 24 hours for a set fee. We had tickets to the Buffalo Bisons game the night of our stay, so that worked very well for us. The hotel is a short, nearly straight drive, from the stadium.
It was close to the airport. The room we stayed in had been recently renovated and had hardwood floors along with a kitchenette. Our room was decent, but other rooms looked tired and worn. The front desk staff and location were the best thing about this hotel.
Our room was spacious and the hotel was nice and quiet. We especially enjoyed the historical features in the rooms and lobby, such as the end tables and chairs made from aircraft metal, reminding of Buffalo's history of making planes in WWII.
Lovely traditional hotel, beautiful decorated for the festive season.
Free shuttle from airport and to airport, which was also the transportation station so we could get a bus to Niagara Falls.
Desk staff were extremely helpful and kind.
The hotel is very nice and the location is very good for doing many things in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area. Also very close the the airport, but did not have any flight noise during our stay. Good value for the quality.
The room was a good size and had extra space even with the jacuzzi tub in the room. The shower was large. The bed was comfy. The decor around the hotel was unique and fun, made you forget that you’re in Buffalo
Historic building. Quite rooms despite the vast size of the hotel. Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Calm environment. Beautiful lake nearby. Nice restaurants, bars and sweets shop within easy walk.
Newly remodeled hotel conveniently located near the Buffalo International Airport. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was extra clean and comfortable. The price was just right.
I had asked for a water view, but got the opposite. It turned out to be a great view of some iconic buildings of downtown Buffalo,so it was nice. And the sunrise was beautiful,
Pretty good location and the hotel shuttle gets your right to the streetcar so it’s easy to access downtown. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly - especially Randy.
