My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay at The Yankee. We absolutely loved every aspect of this wonderful hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell that cleanliness was a priority. The room was large and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast, which was included, was very good and there was even the ability to have a freshly made omelet. My husband and I love a good hot tub and pool. The pool was the perfect temperature as was the hot tub. Many times you go away only to find a cold pool and a lukewarm hot tub. Not here. They were both perfect. Location is good, service is good, and the facilities are wonderful. We will be back and when we are in the area will not stay anywhere else.

I booked a double room and when I got there the lady at the front desk said that I did not book a double room, I know what I booked, but I wasn't about to argue, so she gave me a single Queen room it was so small that I had to upgrade to a King room, so not only did I not get the room that I booked, but I had to pay more money than I thought I had so I'll never come here again, plus there was no overnight person and no one to give the key to so I left the key in the room and they charged me for the key this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and the tub in the bathroom was extremely dirty with black spots in it.

Breakfast was bread and twinkies, not even joking.
Breakfast was bread and twinkies, not even joking. The room was disgusting and dirty and just worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Also dead bugs all over the room, no lock on window and door, and 11 stations on TV, non working lamps and the pool is non working, nothing like the pictures show.

Hotel was so disgusting, we couldn't stay.
Hotel was so disgusting, we couldn't stay. The smell of mold and the conditions of the room were so unsanitary, outdated and rundown that it put our health in jeopardy. Do not stay in this hideous place, unsafe, blood on sheets, mold on surfaces, bathroom unusable. They should be ashamed of themselves and Booking.com should really reconsider the quality of the property they list on their site. It was at best, a two-bit by the hour cesspool.
The Inn serves not simply as a place to stay but also as an ecumenical retreat center. This means that the staff is committed to community and practices service to guests in a really nice way. We had great conversations with the staff and other guests.
The breakfast was made to order--eggs, toast, coffee, orange juice. It was served whenever we were ready.
The building is over 200 years old. Some may find this off-putting since it lacks the dazzle of new hotels. We thought it adds lots of charm to the place.
After we saw the conditions of the room and hotel we had no choice but to leave. Blood stains on the 1970’s bedding, mold so bad we chocked, room falling apart and a horrid overall smell. So gross, so upsetting and so alarming. I question whether or not to ever use booking.com again when they list by the hour places like this on their site. No money back either! Do Not Book this he’ll hole!
Everything.
The beds were comfy even though they didn't look it at first glance. The room was spotless. The area was perfect. This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The poor guy here has been running the hotel for months by himself and although you can see he was clearly stressed out he was patient and attentive! This was a great place to stay overall.
