We had a nice room , just inside the back (locking)door and a nice little patio , just outside our back door , overlooking the river. Patio had a private table and chairs at our room and several lounge chairs and tables closer to river . If it had not been 104 degrees , during our stay , we would have loved to spend more time out there . Deer wandered all around the area , foraging .

We went to wildlife safari. That was ok.
We went to wildlife safari. That was ok. All of the fast food restaurants had horrible rude employees and people are just not friendly. The only place that was nice was the roller skating rink. I don't recommend visiting there as people are rude.

This town is a dump, homeless everywhere, businesses shuttered, surly shopkeepers, religious zealots and hard right extremist.
The one winery downtown advised us AT THE TASTING ROOM, that they "preferred people who bought bottles of wine". For two of us to taste mediocre wine it cost $30.00, too much to pay for a snooty and rude experience.
I have tasted and bought wine in areas far and above Rosenberg and never been told that the winery only wanted people who would buy a case of wine and not mere tasters.
Avoid Rosenberg unless you have to stop there because you are too tired to go further

Roseburg was an overnight stop for us.
Roseburg was an overnight stop for us. It’s a nice town with a few amenities. The Umpqua River is a beautiful river that meambers through the town and the hotel was very close to the river but no actual access to the river but a nice view from our balcony and even spotted an Eagle a couple times! We ate at Denny’s across the street which is typical Denny’s breakfast fare but their pancakes were very good! If we have need to stop in future travels we would stay at Riverfront Inn again . It was clean, comfortable beds and nice view of the River. For dog lovers there was a dog area .

found a chinese food restaurant - Chi's Garden Restaurant.
found a chinese food restaurant - Chi's Garden Restaurant. They serve large portions and we had to take leftovers back to our room. Breakfast is good too. Won't go hungry before you leave.
If you get a chance, try to go to the wildlife safari in Winston. We wanted to but we were traveling with a dog and you can't drive through with pets. Maybe our next trip we will do that.

The housekeeping staff needs a leader that knows what they're doing. The room next to us was rented out and the window was broken. According to the staff it had been broken for awhile. Spend $20 on each room, paint and caulking would go a long way!
This hotel is a wonderful find. It is very clean and convenient, felt safe, well run. We walked over the bridge to downtown and enjoyed a nice meal at McMenamins. Parking can be limited. If your room is not on ground level you need to carry luggage, etc., upstairs. I would absolutely book this hotel again, and pay a little more for a room with a balcony overlooking the River. We brought our carryout breakfast, which was nicely done, down to a picnic table overlooking the River and watched osprey hunt and dive for fish.
I was just looking for a value room for a family trip from Portland to Roseburg for Wild Safari, but they exceeded my expectations. Check-in staff was excellent, offering before being asked extra towels and blankets for our son (using sofa bed). The breakfast with waffles was an added bonus, better than just some muffins like I expected. All the staff that I saw and interacted with were just superb. Next time we make a trip to Wild Safari I know where to stay.
We liked the size of the rooms, the price was fair enough, and the pool area was clean and comfortable once we were able to access it. This hotel was good enough for a needed night and we felt like the price was OK for what we got. The rooms were clean and the bedding was light but soft and warm. Pillows were comfy, and the room size was nice as well as the set up and seating was comfy.
Most filthy hotel I have stayed at in my life. Sheets were filthy, stained and even crusted over. It was the most disgusting stay I have ever experienced. To make matters worse the manager not only did NOT fully reimburse me for the room but only offered 20 dollars reimbursement. Which is hardly a gesture to make things right. Will never stay at a Days Inn ever again.
Bathroom was updated, bright and spacious. Room size was generous, parking was easy and breakfast was quite good, really enjoyed the waffles and coffee. I also liked that I could control the room temperature so it was cool for sleeping. Overall it was a good hotel, a pleasant stay!
Room exceed expectations. Property had been totally refurbished. For an old property it was in excellent condition. The property was a great value for a very low price. Did not expect much but was satisfied with the hotel. It is old and not fancy but you get what you pay for!
Breakfast was good first morning. Next morning we woke up without power, so there was almost nothing for breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful during the whole stay. The location of the hotel was easy for the needs of our travel plans.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Big bathroom, comfortable bed. Nice staff at check-in.
You need a pick what you want for breakfast and you pick up the tray at reception the next morning. Good choices and they even have hot chocolate.
The room was quiet. The hotel was convenient to the interstate. .Room was clean. Bed was small for a couple, but comfortable
Price for this hotel was reasonable for a one night stay on a long road trip. You pay for what you get!
It was nice, comfortable, really organized, and do able. I wouldn't mind staying there again. The hotel was decent and really good. The stuff in the office was really nice.
Nice renovated hotel. The staff is great and the food is very tasty! Yea, I forgot to say that every kiddo got a free toy when we went down to eat. We'll be back for sure.
Sherri and Mike were exceptional hosts. Sherri enjoyed answering our questions about Roseburg and telling us about the history of the house and the family
