Loved the cute layout of the place, individual cabins surrounding a nice central area with horseshoes, corn hole, even a lasso and metal bull. Nice porches, separate chairs around fired-pit. Nice bed. Across the street from city park. We liked the town.

If you love Texas, cowboys and the old west Bandera is the place for you - it’s a step back in time to the 1950s - be sure and eat breakfast at the O.S.T. cafe and sit in the John Wayne room - have a beer at the 11th Street Cowboy bar

We went to ride the Twisted Sisters highway & see the scenery. We enjoyed the shops in town & locals were so friendly. We ate at the OST resturant which was excellent & the staff were fun & went out of there way to help. The town being small was pretty crowded during the weekend, if your on motorcycles suggeste you park on a side street and walk to your choice shop or resturant than you can get out easier than on the main street, but it was doable so just don't get in a hurry and you'll enjoy it!

Bandera was a let down for us.
Bandera was a let down for us. We stopped in at a pub before going to our location. Staff was not friendly or attentive. We made reservations at The Forge steakhouse. Online they boosted Aka steaks pan seared and grilled to perfection. Their website showed prices around $25 but did add a notice that prices maybe slightly higher due to higher beef cost. Our steaks were $60-$95 and full of fat. We sent one back but the replacement was the same. They also covered the top of the steaks with sweet onion jam and used the gravy from the liver & onions on the potatoes. The staff was friendly. We will not go there again.
We did stop by the American Legion and the lady we encountered there was absolutely wonderful. Although we walked in on a private event, she stopped and took the time to welcome us and directed us to other attractions to visit.
We stayed at the Flying L Ranch Resort. This place is amazing. It’s beautiful country side with everything you need. Swimming pool, golf, restaurant, bar, live music. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We will be back to Flying L Ranch Resort and give Bandera a second chance.

Bandera is a great little small town.
Bandera is a great little small town. The river float was the highlight of our trip, be sure to do that! There are some cute little shops, a handful of restaurants and of course the 11th street bar. Our only issue we encountered in this "post-covid" time was some places closed early or were unable to open due to lack of staff. I'm sure this is a temporary issue, but it was noticeable.

Bandera TX is a rustic little town steeped in western culture with real Cowboys and ranchers. It is commercialized to a point catering to tourists, hunters and Bikers due to the abundance of wildlife, nightlife and beautiful winding roads. I have been there 5 times for our annual Biker Clubs Winter National party. I will be going back for sure!

Bandera is a wonderful place to visit whether you are cowboy/cowgirl oriented or not. We found it a quiet place to relax in the evening after a great meal at the Cowgirl Coffee Shop next to the hotel.
The hotel changed hands last year and the new owner has spent a lot of money updating the grounds and it looks great. There are fire pits and wood at every cabin and a game area in the courtyard which included horse shoes and corn hole. There was a Kuerig coffee pot in the rooms and plenty of coffee. The wifi worked great and we were able to stream on the TV. The hotel within walking distance to the downtown are with plenty of restaurants and shopping.
Everything!! It was an amazing price compared to other options in town. Location is great!! Walking distance to shops, dining and night life. Room was very comfortable, we stayed in #8 this trip, but have stayed in #4 and #9 on past visits. The common areas are very welcoming and comfortable as well complete with a full kitchen, laundry room and sitting areas. 2 full bathrooms shared by other guests, but was never a problem.
Amazing scenery, we drove in late at night and there were deer just resting opposite our caravan. Exploring the next day was fun. We stopped on a Monday - due to the rest of our itinerary. I would avoid this as there is so much to do on other days.
The main house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and was just fabulous. Staff were super helpful and friendly.
Bandera is a few mins away and also great to explore
Great place to stay and explore the area. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. They gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat including the best hamburgers in Bandera at a gas station and the OST for breakfast. We also tried the Bandera Brewery on their suggestion which had great live music too. We played putt putt, table tennis and had a really comfortable 2 bed villa. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed staying in a typical house in Bandera
The property met our expectations and is as described on booking.com. Check in instructions were easy and we had absolutely no issues.
The shared restrooms were clean and had all toiletries. The kitchen had utensils to prepare your meals and a big fridge.
There is a large living room to read and play games. Very good Wi-Fi.
We were really pleased with our stay at the River Oak Inn as it is a very nice motel with all the basic facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting bandera and it is close to 11th Street. The staff is good, very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and I think they recently renovated.
Rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating, we requested quiet room, late checkout which was taken care of. The bed is very comfortable and seems the motel was renovated recently so the ambience is what we loved the most. Definitely recommended to the travelers visiting Bandera.
location was great. a ways away from Bandera, but worth it.. Owner has done an excellent job of creating a homey atmosphere.Clean and sanitary. A very nice place to be ,if you enjoy the texas nature, and peace & quiet. Surrounded by big ranches.I was very comfortable.
The hotel is easily found as it is located on the main street. it has parking and an adequate gym. Breakfast was basic continental style and was plentiful. The room was amazing with its own lounge area. the staff were helpful and friendly.
The house was perfectly sized and super cute. We thought the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed the backyard hangout area. We will for sure stay here again on our next trip to Bandera!
I couldn't imagine more kind and helpful host. I need to come back to this place in future for longer stay for sure. I do recommend this place for all Bandera visitors!
Loved the cozy motel in Hill Country, The room was clean and staff was very friendly. Will Stay again when I visit Bandera next year during Cowboy Mardi Gras in Feb.
