Breakfast was good. Typical breakfast. Location very convenient. Noise level between rooms, hallway, and above is high and can be disturbing. Price is high for the area.

Nice, clean, room over all. Well maintained bathroom with rainfall shower and the modern lit vanity mirror was a bonus! No carpet- no curtains- nice flooring and roller shade instead-loved that! Clean white sheets and covers. We did not check out the breakfast but the host informed us that the only hot item was the waffle- plus the usual lite breakfast items…yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee etc. Definitely on the - we will stay here again list! It’s was great stop for us. Breaking up our 7 hour drive. All smiles 😃

DO NOT RECOMMEND.!!! Nothing about this property was okay.!! I traveled as a family of 7 this place was a man camp for construction workers. We gave it a chance bc it was late when we arrived and even though it had construction men hanging around outside drinking bc the stay was just for 1 night but when we got into the room to check it we found a window that was broke and would not shut and lock properly. I called the desk attendant told her we had a problem with the window. She offered to talk to the manager but in the mean time my sister and niece walked down to the office after the attendant and the men there were cat calling to them. That also created a problem as my sister mentioned it to the attendee then the attendee mentioned it to the manager which he mentioned it to the men and then they began to fight and argue. When I mentioned that I would like a refund bc the window was broken and we did not feel SAFE the attendant stated the manager told her we would NOT be getting one because we were choosing to leave bc we didn’t feel safe…!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE TRAVELING AS A FAMILY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.!!

We had a comfortable weekend stay at the Hampton Inn in Childress, TX. Our event was my High School Reunion, located in Wellington, TX. Only a short 30 minutes away.
The front desk manager, Elva was exceptionally helpful with making sure that our small requests /room type were implemented.
Our King Suite room was super comfortable, the pillows were just right. The long desk/table in our suite was awkward & wasn’t needed.
The Hampton Inn location was perfectly located off of 287 /Hwy 83, Walmart was next door and Starbucks was a couple of traffic lights away.
Hampton Inn & Childress, TX thanks for your hospitality.

I was passing through on my way to Spring.
I was passing through on my way to Spring. Childress had a lot of hotels to choose from. There were a lot of gas stations that had coffee and beverage options, as well as restaurants. There is a Walmart near the hotels. While I didn't stay long in Childress, I had a pleasant time there. I saw police cars now and then, which made me feel safer.

If you happen to arrive in Childress, Texas at the end of a day of travel, it is a town with everything a traveler might need. I doubt many people will make Childress a vacation destination, but it is a good stopping place for the night.

It’s a decent little Panhandle town with McDonald’s, a few convenience stores, a couple of restaurants, and a few stopover type hotel/motels. Good for an overnight if traveling between Colorado and points East or South.

There was NOTHING special about this town.
There was NOTHING special about this town. Restaurants and diners closed at 2pm. Nothing but a few fast food places to choose from. The people were nice and professional. But couldn't find any entertainment after my business was done.
We stayed twice, the first time was not very good as the AC did not work well in the Texas heat but the second time was much better because we could upgrade to a larger room with a working AC; the rooms were clean and pet friendly; the town is small but has a lot to offer in dining choices and the breakfast choices were very nice. We are planning a few more trips and plan to stay there again as our experience was very positive the second time around.
This is a Mom and Pop operation, and we really liked that about it. The beds were real Queens too, not "hotel queens." We slept well except for the traffic noise, which is pretty much unavoidable. I liked that the rooms have fridges and microwaves, as well as TV with cable.
Staff were very friendly property was quiet room was good. Heater/ac unit was a little loud for me. And the tv wasn't where you could see it from the sitting area the hotel was good for an old hotel and the price was great.
I would stay here again so If a person is looking for a decent hotel this is the one to stay at. Its in a nice location right on main road. The rooms and bathroom were clean. The price for room was affordable.
The hotel was dirty. The bedspreads were visibly filthy. The sheets were stained. We had to strip the beds and go to the Walmart and buy bedding. I was terrible. This hotel does not meet Hilton standards.
The managers were friendly, and the property was clean. Also, for anyone passing through Childress, it is convenient for stopping and going. I would stay there again.
