My only reason for visiting was to fish lake Falcon.
My only reason for visiting was to fish lake Falcon. Great for fishing. Several decent restaurants. Not a ton of happenings but you can go across the border if that is your thing. Laredo not far away.

Great food available, and everyone is friendly enough to tell you where to get it. Tacos el Tejano makes an amazing thing they call “guacatacos”, because they are tacos that have guacamole in them along with whatever meat you order. Cool Breeze has strawberries and cream, and other fresh fruit desserts. They have a drive through. Everything is open super late, so you can eat anytime!
