Fairbourne itself did not have a lot in terms of entertainment but it is close to lots of places that are worth a visit. However, the miniature railway is really good and takes you to Barmouth Station where you can then get a ferry to the harbour. The views on this trip are really worth seeing.

This was more than I expected - beautiful location round the corner from a gorgeous beach - perfect for my little dog who came. Accommodation was immaculate and had everything needed, including space for 4 teenagers!
Could recommend any more highly! Will definitely be returning!

Scenic, great beaches, fascinating river estuary/nature reserve, local shops, peaceful, rail link. Local ferry to Barmouth, available summer months, footbridge across river - pay the troll - otherwise longish drive. Not far by road to Snowdonia and other local attractions.

Fairbourne is quite a small place with beautiful scenery, and the beach is gorgeous, soft clean sand and the sea was wonderful too! We spent hours on the beach on Friday and swam in the sea to cool off! Perfect.

Fairbourne is a seaside village that hasn't changed for 50 years. It is perfect for a peaceful beach holiday. The local shops have all you need for a holiday and a couple of bars/restaurants in the village too. Still, the beach is what you come for, a long sandy bay with the most amazing views out to sea and of the estuary. The Fairbourne steam train is a great day trip too. Take it to the ferry and catch the boat over to Barmouth taking in the longest wooden bridge in the world on the way.
Lovely warm comfortable accommodation with lovely comfy beds and a great shower. Loved the enclosed garden which was perfect for our dogs. Location is superb, lovely and quiet and only a stones throw from the fab beach at Fairbourne and to The Penryhn Bar (which is very dog friendly) Shops and takeaways are also in easy walking distance. Couldn't fault it and will definitely be staying here again.
Lovely cottage in a quiet location outside Fairbourne , within easy driving distance of Barmouth and Talybont.
Comfy lounge and dining room , well equipped kitchen , great bathroom.
We loved the welcome package of the wine, bread and milk.
Recommend the George iii pub and restaurant up the road , fabulous food and lovely views over the estuary.
The hotel was clean, the hosts were so friendly and it was recently renovated so the decor was lovely! Our room was very large, bed incredibly comfy and had everything you’d need in the room for a stay. Breakfast was also very good - large portion and cooked fresh (eggs were something special!). Very much hoping to be back again soon.
The location was perfect, the property was home from home and so comfortable and we just loved it so much. We loved being back in fairbourne and love the area and having this as a bolt hole was lovely. The place was quirky and had personal touches and the veiws from the back we amazing. We will be back. !
Exactly as it looked on the photos!
Beautifully decorated - just my sort of thing.
Lovely to have complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits especially after a 3 hour drive.
Couple of minutes walk to the shops in Fairbourne.
About 10 minutes to the only pub and beach.
Lovely independent hotel in a beautiful location, great for a trip with family and friends. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and gave us useful information about what we could do in the area. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of it. Would happily stay again.
The property has all the facilities needed for a family break in Fairbourne. The photographs of local places and the ordnance survey map make a very nice touch to the property.
we always love any of the Hendoll properties. Great property and in a beautiful place. Fairbourne offers great walking and scenery, it never fails to deliver
