The hustle and bustle of city life is pretty much the same in every country but Seoul offered many interesting activities and beautiful attractions. What I loved most about Seoul was the food. Even if we ordered something we didn't hear of before, it still tasted good. However the downside was that we encountered a few impatient and grumpy taxi drivers. But the people are genuinely nice.
Tip: Avoid trying to get a taxi anytime after 11.00pm as fares are doubled and taxi drivers might refuse to take you to some places that are not within the range they want to drive to.

Very efficient metro system, though sometimes transfers between lines can be confusing. Generally clean (if you don't look too close) and although people do not have great manners, I have found them to be quite helpful to foreigners. The National Museum is absolutely superb!

Good location as it is located between Seoul Station and City Hall Station, both are within walking distance. Decent hotel, clean and staff are very courteous. Conveniently located yet not too hectic/busy so definitely recommend this hotel.

Very cool city with lots of things to do - a wonderful mix of culture, night life, food and shopping! I recommend going to one of the many skin clinics and getting a treatment done (much cheaper than in most countries). I also liked going out in Hongdae. The Contemporary History Museum was very interesting, too!

Everything is so clean and there is virtually no crime.
Everything is so clean and there is virtually no crime. Transportation is so easy that getting around to museums, spa treatments, facials, shopping, palaces, restaurants, hand painted manicures a cinch. You can pack in several activities into a day and either walk, taxi, bus or subway everywhere. We ate at a lot of random restaurants but also at restaurants recommended on tiktok and at the food court at the basement of Lotte Department Store. There were also a lot of interesting coffee shops and bakeries that were outstanding. We used the ATM to get won, but the bank charges were high. You don't need much won as most stores and restaurants take credit card, but there were a few places where the credit card interface was entirely in Korean. Google Maps doesn't work well, so we used naver.com for walking, but it wasn't great.

Google maps is not available for walking navigation.
Google maps is not available for walking navigation. Naver doesn't work well enough, not easy to track. Food in Seoul is quite good. Local people are not friendly, sometimes hard to ask their support for street direction. I could not visit DDP Art & Museum because the ticket officer didn't explain clearly, just told me to wait outside.
Great location! Jongno 3-ga subway just couple of minutes walk, close to Palaces, Gwanghwamun. Several convenient stores around. At night with Sub Zero temperature, we walked to roadside food tent for beer and food, got fried chicken or other street food to go. Rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished with microwave, washing machine, etc. We stayed a total 11 nights, at 3 different suites since we made Seoul as our base while travelling South Korea, bringing only the luggage we needed for each destination, leaving the rest with the hotel.
The Step Inn Myeongdong 2 is best budget accomodation that located at the central of Myeongdong.
Staff are excellent that attending you well and help us to stay comfortable in the hotel. They speak English well for who did not know Korean.
The price is value for money, room is clean and comfortable with simple breakfast. Free water and hot water. Microwave to heat up our foods.
Location is priceless in which you can enjoy the various shop and street foods stall open every night.
Thank you very much to accomodate us!!!
See you again.
The location is phenomenal. On your right is the Euljiro -1 station which is where the Myeongdong shopping streets are and on your left is the Cheonggyecheon stream. The Hotel also has many local restaurants near by to help satisfy your korean food craving. The hotel also has a pub which is kinda decent, there's also a live music pub stones throw away from the hotel. Yes forgot to mention, the Hotel has a roofop garden which is excellent to hang out in the evenings, has a bunch of tables chairs perfect for that late night hang out.
Step Inn is great if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in the center of Seoul. It's located in a bustling shopping district, is close to the subway station, and has all the basic amenities. It's more of a hostel than a hotel (though it does have private rooms!) so just be aware if you're looking for one or the other. My room was clean and serviceable, the hotel staff were friendly, and I was able to book an airport taxi through the front desk without a problem.
The hotel is in a good location, literally 5 mins walk from DDP. Not too far from main tourist sites (Myeongdong, Hongdae etc). The area itself also has a lot to do and see near DDP like shops, cafes etc. The staff helped us with our bags at check-in and we had to modify our booking to leave early, which they helped us with. If you're only concerned about having a no frills place to stay/short stay (we only stayed 2 nights) and you're not fussy, then it's okay.
We had the most best experience staying at Four Points thanks to Nancy at Front desk. Nancy was friendly and courteous who was always super informative with everything we needed. Thank you so much for providing a 5 star service Nancy! Room was very spacious, location was so great walking distance to Myeondong markets and hotel was surrounded with good restaurants all around. Definitely coming back to stay there again next time.
We stayed in this hotel on its opening day. As soon as we entered the hotel, we were greeted by the most friendly staff. The hotel also smelt amazing. We stayed in a two bed room on the top floor. It was a good size, the beds some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, with a lovely balcony and great views. So well located; by the shops, South Korea gate, palace, train station... I would highly recommend this hotel.
I heard South Korean hotel rooms are pretty small so I searched until I found one that was big enough. This one was perfect for 2 guests. We had plenty of counter space and a sofa. The room was very nice and clean. There was a 24-hour convenience store in the lobby and was within walking distance of a few stations and food. It was a very lovely stay and would definitely book here again the next time we visit.
The owner and his friend are very helpful and kind, we never had this experience in a hostel in korea before, they will try their best to make your stay confortable, they will provide you everything you need, they even cooked for us twice.
The location is perfect, it's just 2 minute from Myeongdong (with subway)
The room is confortable and big comparing to what you get with this price in Seoul.
The staff were absolutely amazing, made the experience the best hotel that I stayed at for my entire trip (1 month), even more so then a 5 star hotel I stayed at later on. The hotel is just a 2min walk from the station and the lines available at the station connect to most major attractions. Was amazing value for money to stay here, would absolutely recommend to everyone.
The hotel is situated literally in front of the metro exit and in front of the limousine bus stop for incheon airport. If you like busy area you will be happy to stay in Myeongdong, there are lots of shops and restaurants around. The staff was super friendly and helpful and there was someone at the first floor entrance 24h which is great in case you need support.
Very close to hongdae (6 min walk), but away from the traffic. Nice and quiet. It feels like you are at home because it is an apartment, but the price isn’t too expensive.
It’s comparable to staying at a hotel, but more comfortable. I did laundry there and there was even laundry detergent and a drying rack.
If I could live there long term, I would.
Room size is good and decent. Location wise, it’s near to the subway and airport limousine bus stop. Lots of eateries and a convenience store at the lobby. Self laundry at B3. Nothing to complain about. Will choose to stay at this hotel again should I visit Korea again
Exceptional clean and comfortable room. Finally find a stay in Korea with a good toilet. Modern decor with all needed facilities. Better than expected breakfast. Best location in hongdae since on the building with animate.
On our first night in South Korea we arrived very late. The hotel staff were very friendly, they purchased ice cream to cheer my kids up and the following morning went out of their way to ensure our whole visit went well.
it’s new we were the first to stay in the room but the hotel is still ironing out the kinks so there were a few lapses with service and it’s feels more like a 4 star than a 5 star
It's close to the walking street of Myeongdong and the airport bus express station is only a few step away. Subway is just below the hotel and its so convenient to stay at Sejong
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and spoke English which was helpful. The bathroom was modern and larger than some other hotels in South Korea.
