Monterrey is a beautiful city with lots of things to see and do in and around the city. The Macroplaza is the cultural center of the city and there are many restaurants, museums, shops, and locals walking around the area. The Antigua area is across from the Macroplaza and there is the old part of the city with the Monterrey Cathedral and lots of shops and restaurants as well. On Saturday and Sunday the Antigua area has a few very good local flea markets. Also, Monterrey has a great subway system called the Metrorrey and its really easy to use and a very cheap way to get around this great city! I highly recommend Monterrey for any tourists who want to get some great Mexican food and culture that is only a 45 minute flight from Houston and a 3hour bus ride from the border. VIVA MONTERREY!

Monterrey is a very large industrial city with horrible traffic. Pollution is bad, and its not really a nice place to walk around. We surprisingly had a great view of the mountains. Breakfast is included with your stay and it is a buffet style. The breakfast was delicious and the wait staff was very welcoming. A shopping center is located behind the hotel which has a lot of small restaurants, refresqueria (snack shop), Gym, exotic pet store, and best of all a Starbucks! The hotel has a small gym, and it’s very clean. I would stay here again.
