Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.

too many hot spots to be seen. recommend a hop on-hop off for 1st day so from there you make your choices. We didn't do that but stil manage to see a lot of landmarks such as Praça de Comércio, Praça de Figuera ( with a lovely " designers" open market on Sundays) , Rossii square, Praça Luis de Camos ( with a vivid street musicians), Castelo de Sao Jorge, Lisbon cathedral, St Antony church, famos Belem tower.
Then , the special features of Lisbon you gotta try: tram 28 ( but also the others nr), funiculars and tuk-tuk tours..
then the night life, wonderful!
for eating outside: there are so many excellent choices , I would probble need quite some time to number them all.. Still, didn't success to complete my " to do" eating wish list ! :(

Lisbon is great as a hub city to all the cities around it.
Lisbon is great as a hub city to all the cities around it. I don’t think you need more than two days for Lisbon - we were there for 6 and used the additional time to venture out. We also attended a cooking class in Lisbon which was wonderful. In addition to Lisbon we also ventured north and stayed in Porto for 4 nights and that was well worth it….wish we had had more time there to venture to all the cities around it as well.

We are regular visitors to this city as we have friends living here but it is not somewhere we would visit otherwise. Large cities really aren't our thing and we find Lisbon very noisy. We have enjoyed some of the museums over the years but find the information on exhibition websites often inaccurate especially concerning opening times. One think I do love about the city is the parakeets and wherever you find a collection of trees you will find these lovely birds.

Loved all the seafood in Lisbon. So fresh and tasty.
Loved all the seafood in Lisbon. So fresh and tasty. You have to visit Mezon Adaluce - best tapas I've ever had. Really enjoyed Baixa and Alfama walks, so interesting with history everywhere. Good restaurants in general and friendly people too.

Lisbon is great, but this hotel is definitely NOT!
Lisbon is great, but this hotel is definitely NOT! Avoid this hotel at all cost, insects in 5th floor, cocaine outside the door in the hall and people working there have no respect for their guests.
It was extremely disgusting, the room, and they LIED about aircondition being included, we asked them to be sure and it said it was in the advertisement but nope - no air condition. extremely hot even during winter times and could not breathe. The only way to breathe is to open the window facing extremely loud highway and drunk people screaming during night.
AGAIN, AVOID AT ALL COST! THEY PROMISED US REFUND AND IGNORED US AFTERWARDS.
I will change this if anything happens or we hear anything, so far we haven't heard from them since january 2024.

The local tram runs from just beyond the hotels’ square to the livelier parts of the city if the prospect of walking Lisbon’s hilly streets seems challenging. It is an experience to be enjoyed either way.
I could not have been happier with my stay. Jessica at reception and the entire staff provided exceptional service. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Without a doubt, this is a professionally run hotel and it is where will stay again when I return to Lisbon in the near future. The service was impeccable. EVERYTHING about this place was great. The other thing that I loved about this place is how close it is situated to the Lisbon's METRO system. Absolutely the best - hated to leave. A big thank you to the entire staff.
Better and more friendly service than I've gotten in most 5 star hotels. Everyone from the front desk, to the bar tender, to the restaurant staff to the room cleaners - All of them were truly exceptional and friendly. The room itself was spacious, clean, and sexy. Bigger than the pictures make it seem. The restaurant food was also great, and make sure you catch a cabaret show while you are here. It is worth the money! Finally, it is located centrally, right next to metros, bars, and restaurants. You won't do better in Lisbon.
Great location, away from the noise and tight alleys. The hotel is situated at the train station (no noise) which is quite convenient if you’re looking to access the metro or do any day trips from lisbon. Convenience store right inside the train station.
Super clean and nicely furnished rooms with fresh towels and toiletries, looks newly renovated. Most importantly for us Arabs, there’s a hose (bidet/ شطاف) :)
I wouldn’t go as far and call it 5 star but it is a good value one.
Well, don’t want you, all readers, to get it wrong, but this class of hotels are not usually available in this applications. It’s the best hotel by far, that I have been in. It is what a 5 star hotel should be. Besides that It’s brand new, the staff at front desk are just pristine. I ordered what I thought just a regular breakfast with granola-maple syrup-bananas-dry fruit etc, and I just had a explosion of flavors in my mouth, the ingredients are the best quality and freshness.
The hotel staff was one of the best that I have encountered while in Europe. The hotel offers a concierge, which was amazing with helping arrange tours throughout Lisbon. Our check in process was easy, the rooms clean and crisp. All amenities on the property were wonderful. Spa, bar, and the Italian restaurant. The staff also had great recommendations for restaurants that were around the city. I loved how centrally located the hotel was for shopping. Would stay here again.
Although it was only for one night, it was a very comfortable room and the hotel has the best facilities I've seen in Lisbon so far. The breakfast buffet is top notch and the location is excellent, across from Oriente subway and train stations, next to Vasco da Gama shopping mall. What else could you ask for?
This is definitely the place I am choosing for the next visit to Lisbon. I forgot to add that is only two subway stops away from the airport. Very convenient.
As Zurin Charm Hotel was recently launched, on June of 2021, all features are brand new. All the facilities are amazing, from the reception, to the breakfast area, until the room. Also, the view from the room to Lisbon is beautiful. The Staff, I don’t even need to mention, they are 10/10, good people with good care and respect for their guests, always available 24/7. I don’t know why Zurin Charm Hotel is considered 2 stars as it is a truly 5 star experience.
Compared to other marinas in the area, this one is shelthered from noisy traffic, it has a lovely setting and Belem is worthwhile a visit for a few days. In close proximity to Lisbon city centre and surrounding coastal towns like Cascais, worth a visit.
The boat has all the necessary to be comfortable, a bit of maintenance on a few issue will enhance the experience. The boat & Marina a great alternative form of accommodation compared to hotels, B&B etc.
This hotel leans to the more "budget" friendly offerings in Lisbon, and for the price, you get excellent value here. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean, and in a great location downtown and close to the airport. I had to leave earlier than the breakfast was offered, but the staff offered to pack a small breakfast for me in a bag to take with me in the morning. Marta is the best!!!
Honestly this is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Everything was brilliant. Location was amazing too, loved the avenue nearby and close to centre, metro, train station. The apartment had everything we could wish for, comfy beds and extremely quiet. If we ever visit Lisbon again we'll be staying here. Staff were extremely helpful. It's part of a 5 star hotel so the service was top level.
Absolutely best hostel ever. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time in hostel, in Lisbon and in Portugal.
They have dinner Events, pub crawl, fado, etc. They also gave us a guide for beaches on the West Coast. They als kept some of my stuff and I picked them up 2 weeks later when I returned to Lisbon, this was a huge help.
The hotel is located in an excellent area, central and close to everything. The room was very spacious, clean and bright, the beds very comfortable. But the best of all was the staff, especially Mr. Daniel, who had a great treatment, always attentive and willing to help, giving tips to make the most of the city, made our stay our best day in Lisbon. We will definitely come back.
Located at the heart of the centre , easy to reach the sea, main squares, shops, tram station....
Beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were perfect and the staff worked their best in helping us with all our requests - they managed to prepare our room for an early check in as well !
My friend & I agree this hotel could be rated as 5 star hotel :)
Beautiful hotel in a great location - walking distance to everything! The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our welcome gift in the room when we arrived. We also really enjoyed being able to go to the rooftop bar, which was closed on the day we were there, except for hotel guests. One of the best views we had while in Lisbon!
This is a beautiful boutique hotel with glorious accommodations right in the heart of Lisbon. We loved everything about our stay, from the comfortable bed to the luxury bathroom and the delicious breakfast. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. 100% recommended.
This is not a 5 star hotel it’s better. It’s an authentic pensao. The location was good, the room was comfy but the best was the sweet woman who came down the 3 flights of stairs to greet me and carry my suitcase up for me and when I left down for me.
location , surrounded by boutique shops ,20 minutes walk to Torreira Beach.
The staff , Andre and Iris Goncalves are wonderful ! And Carlos Harranita served us the best breakfast ever. It was a 5 stars experience 👋
Clean basic hotel nothing outstanding good or bad. Location very convenient for transport links to airport and Lisbon city centre. Hotel staff were helpful especially the security officers.
Best breakfast of the 6 hotels we stayed in. I would choose this hotel again when I visit Lisbon again. Location is great, room and staff were good, breakfast was outstanding.
