The garden and sitting area outside were nice, the room was spacious, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was very nice to have a mini fridge in the room. It was fun to watch the animals and birds in the morning.

We visited Golfito due to its convenience to nearby wildlife viewing (particularly birding) opportunities. A car is a must for this, so if you are not renting a vehicle, this option is not recommended. The property also provides good opportunities for fishing charters. The bay has a big tidal shift and there are no beaches close by, so this is not a good location if that is what you seek.

Golfito is a very pretty area on the shores of the Golfito Bay with a variety of activities and restaurants and bars, and overall a very good range of facilities. A great base to explore the surrounding Parks and Bays and the Gulf with a ferry across to Puerto Jimenez. Liked the closeness to nature, did not like the cost of boat trips or fishing trips and there are ripoff merchants around the public car park at the boat wharf who will aggressively hit you up for keeping an eye on your car!!!
