Very beautiful old walled Renaissance City very close to both Florence and Pistoia so not only very rewarding to explore in itself but also the perfect touring base for Tuscany. Lots of good value cafes and restaurants in the City Centre. Everywhere very walkable

Wonderful and a very ancient town, with many historical buildings to see, unspoiled by the crowds of tourists. It was lively on Saturday with local people walking around shops in the downtown, the prices in the cafes are like for locals. There is a nice view to the river surrounded by the mountains outside the city walls, with a walking path along the river.

Prato is a beautiful town to visit with a range of activities to keep you busy. The restaurants and bars serve authentic, delicious cuisine and have a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The historical centre is easy and safe to wander around day or night with excellent views of Prato from the parapet of Castello dell’Imperatore. Some of the residents speak english, and are patient with travellers who attempt Italian. Molto bene!

No matter when you arrive and no bus/tkt/etc, be assured that one can walk there easily in about 10 minutes and always on main boulevard/street. It's the main hotel in San Marco piazza (big waterfountain). You can almost see the hotel in the distance from stazione. Lot's of ped/zone activity everywhere. I took the public LAM Blue (1 or 2 euro?) bustop for Flrenze just outside SM piazza. Much easier for me than taking train from Prato SM hotel.

A charming quiet little town, sort of a 'mini-Florence', a nice alternative to staying in Florence. It's only a short distance to Florence by train and a good base for exploring the region. The town itself is pretty with lovely surrounding countryside and it's pleasant to walk along the river.
The most gentle host I have ever stayed with. All the amenities of home plus the luxury of a wonderful self contained apartment. The host was kind and helpful and brought us breakfast, left us a cheeseboard and wrote as a wonderful note thanking is for our stay. I can not praise him enough. The balcony has a wonderful view of tennis courts and stadium. The property is in walking distance of the train, Prato Centro and a picturesque river with walk path. I thoroughly enjoyed the airconditioning and spacious bathroom amenities.
Beautiful old building converted to hostel with amazingly friendly staff and very close to the center of the beautiful city of Prato, with many historic attractions and very good value restaurants nearby. Prato is a Renaissance Gem also very conveniently located for visiting both Florence and Pistoia by train (both a very short and cheap railway journey away) Rooms are basic but airy and sunny and overall extremely good value. And once again, I cannot overpraise the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
We booked this hotel for a quick weekend in Florence. The hotel is located close to the Prato train station (a 30 minute train ride to the center of Florence) and the city center of Prato. There are lots of restaurants and quaint bars nearby. Prato itself also isn't as touristy as Florence (our taxi driver said it's like Florence 30 years ago).
Our room was lare and really clean, though a bit dated. But we slept well and enjoyed our stay.
The owner is very kind and have good service mind. He prepared Tascan product to welcome us. He gave us a refund on first night for the inconvenience caused by a few rain dropped in the apartment due to unfinished roof maintenance. He offered coffee and dessert every morning. In addition, he gave us a ride to Prato train station on the departure date. We are so happy with him and absolutely recommend this apartment.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff were amazing and super accommodating. We showed up with our bikes and they put us in one of the pool rooms so we could keep an eye on our bikes. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The breakfast was the best we have had on our two week trip. Highly recommend!! 10/10 we would come back here.
It was an unforgettable trip. The house is located near the train station, you can be in Florence in 20 minutes☺️ and the city center is also close. It is a very comfortable environment, you feel like at home. My recommendation for this hotel
Everything: the place, the location in the city, the equipment, the bed, if I ever come back to Prato I will try to book the same apartment. Perfect for families including if they have a baby to care during their trip.
Elisabetta is the perfect hostess and has created a wonderful setting for your stay in Prato. Every detail is attended to and the property is magnificent. 5 stars, will return whenever I’m back in the area.
The room is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly.
The location is excellent, few min on foot to the train station and few min to the center of Prato.
Anything u need can be found around the hotel.
The owner is a great host. The Locanda is a very beautiful villa, located in a quiet area with private parking. It is 15-20mins walking from Prato station. Highly recommended.
Big room, very good position in the nice Prato, 10 min from the station and in the city center. Hotel nice with very helpful elevator. Staff very nice and kind.
The Hotel is very good place for moving in and out from Prato. Have free parking beside the hotel. The staff is very good and answer at any question you have
