We LOVE Paternoster.
We LOVE Paternoster. It’s a beautiful little coastal village (probably more of a town now) with white houses. The beach is lovely with soft sand and great for long walks.
There are many fantastic restaurants and cafes to choose from and local seafood is excellent.
Plentiful accommodation at reasonable prices.
Definitely worth a trip and also please visit the wine lounge. Fantastic selection of South African wines run by a lovely couple Arno and Pieter. You can sip and watch the waves and world go by or catch a sunset.

Quirky shops and restaurants, great food, fresh air, beautiful views and friendly people - holiday makers and locals alike - a must visit.

It is essentially a holiday village, spread along the beach.
It is essentially a holiday village, spread along the beach. There are quite a few restaurants, a supermarket, and a few small shops, but that's it. The beach is excellent for walking, but a bit too cold for swimming. There are
some game reserves and a national Park within an hour's drive and they are worth visiting. Really, it is a place for relaxing

We really enjoyed the beach and especially the sunsets.
We really enjoyed the beach and especially the sunsets. The local Spar had everything you would need to purchase - fresh meat, vegetables and a lovely bakery. The Beer Brewery is a must visit and make sure you try their cheese platters, the best we had.
Abalone was an absolute highlight…! A lovely establishment in Paternoster; complemented by good food and a team of warm and lovely staff members who not only went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable, but also made us feel special and at home… Thank you Lynn…, Toscha… to name a few. All the team members are lovely people! Our stay was exceptional not only because of the hotel and its awesome facilities, but because of you… the people! We hope to see you soon! Take care!
What a gem of a location. Hosts were awesome and very accommodating. Location was serene and beautiful and very close to Paternoster town. The ambience of the local birdlife was just what we needed.
Deon and Marion were the perfect hosts. Our hot tub experience was superb as they went out of their way to ensure we're setup and super comfortable. Room was first class. Marion thought of everything.
Deon ensured we have more than enough braai accessories and wood to keep the fire blazing.
Very welcoming owners. Spacious main bedroom compared to some overseas guest houses and hotels in UK. Second bedroom was very comfortable and 2 bathrooms with big enough showers. Very clean, everything you may need for a few days away.
BBQ braai facilities, well equipped kitchen appliances.
Quiet garden and a big plus...its pet friendly. It is a 2 minute walk to a great beach and restuarant.
Paternoster hotel is very central and a vey lively place, during day time since, there is the bar/restaurant operating at the front terrace of the hotel which was packed at all times
However, the upgraded room that we booked and paid in advance was not the one that we ended up staying since it was already taken. We stayed at a very basic room.
Staff was very polite
Superb accomodation with a walkway straight onto the beach. Bedding good, lay-out excellant and everything you need or want. Kitchen utensils and crockery in good condition and of good quality. Lounge, braai and dining area comfortable. I would recommend without hesitation and will definately stay there again if I visit Paternoster.
The hotel was spectacular - the location, room, service, and staff. We went to Paternoster as part of our honeymoon and Strandloper was the perfect choice, and we were well looked after by the amazing staff. I highly recommend the picnic on the beach, and the walk around the Paternoster with the recommended guide.
We had a lovely stay at Mosselbank 3 and it was a bonus that it was pet friendly. Glenn assisted us with the key handover and showed us around. He also recommended some local spots that came in handy. It's a neat and lovely apartment that is safe and quiet at night.
Nice view of the ocean and surroundings. The pool was very enjoyable for the hot summer days we had. Walking distance from the beach and Paternoster Waterfront.
