Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne...
Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne and up to Perigord region. Brantome is well worth a visit to the north. There are a couple of great restaurants, Le P'tit Loup and All'Olivo in particular. However, Sunday and Monday evenings it all closes up a bit so you need to be able to cater for yourself for food and drink. Lalinde is on the flat so easy to get around for those with any mobility issues.

Lovely views over the Dordogne river.
Lovely views over the Dordogne river. Very helpful Tourist Information. Good choice of restaurants and local shopping. Plenty of parking and easy access to other areas to explore. Only 30 minutes maximum to the airport.
Absolutely everything. Brian and Cheri were marvellous hosts- Cheri put on the most fabulous breaks fast and has thought of everything in the rooms. Brian knows almost everything there is to know about the region, and helped us with activities and information. He also was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the train station when our car rental from Bordeaux did not go as planned. If you visit Lalinde - or any of the villages in the Dordogne - do NOT miss the chance to meet Brian and Cheri at their incredible Maison.
This was our favourite property on our recent tour around France.
We had a large, characterful and comfortable room with views of the garden and swimming pool.
The pool is large with lots of sun loungers, seats and parasols.
We enjoyed the excellent breakfast on the roof terrace directly overlooking the River Dordogne.
The hosts are welcoming and very helpful.
The property is well-located overlooking the river and is just a 15 minute walk from the centre of Lalinde.
The location - we had stayed here many years ago when the hotel was called La Forge. The hotel and Lalinde have great nostalgic value for us. We realised when we made this booking that the hotel had changed its name to Le Forêt but when we arrived it was now called La vie est belle!
Our bedroom was pretty.
Free parking directly outside the hotel.
Lainde is as beautiful and charming as we remember it 👍
A perfect spot to base a visit in the Dordogne. The accommodations were comfortable and the patio overlooking the river was a great spot for a drink or meal. The hosts were gracious, friendly and very helpful. Lots of walks , restaurants, medieval villages and vineyards were all within a short drive or walk into Lalinde. We stayed for a week and could have stayed for two.
Tom and Sietska were brilliant hosts and really made us feel welcome. The hotel is in a beautiful spot right on the river, with big, comfortable rooms. It’s a short walk from Lalinde, which has a few good restaurants and there is a supermarket just across the road too. We’d recommend hiring bikes and canoes, which are a great way to see the Dordogne
Everything, it felt like a home from home. Christianne was so welcoming, it’s set up perfectly for a family holiday. Great location easy to get about, we hired a car. Ate out lots in Lalinde, but it’s set up for your own BBQs by the pool if you want. We’ll definitely do that next time.
Christiane was the kindest, most welcoming host. She set out a lovely breakfast each day, including her homemade yoghurt. Christiane also recommended a wonderful restaurant in Lalinde for dinner and arranged our booking to make sure we got a table when it was busy.
Beautiful looking building in perfect location in Lalinde centre ! ..we have been informed its recently been taken over so hopefully it will get an update and if so we would definitely would try it again .
Cute flat. Well equipped. Nice hot shower. Excellent location. Patio out back. The proprietor was fantastic. She let us in early and even drove our luggage to our next hotel (we are hiking the GR6).
Great B&B if you prefer the peace of the countryside. Nathalie and Patrick were excellent hosts, room was spacious and clean and breakfast good. A short drive to Lalinde and several restaurants.
The location is perfectly tranquil but only a few kilometres from Lalinde with bars and restaurants. Wonderful, welcoming hosts Beatrice and Jean Claude made our stay just perfect.
