I introduced this beautiful region to my wife and a befriended couple from Denmark and decided to book a 2 nights weekend getaway at the Hotel Val Vignes in St. Hippolyte. The hotel itself is beautiful and so is the location. The service of the frontdesk team and all the employees we encountered is magnificent. We enjoyed every interaction with them. Beeing it pre- and afterdinner drinks, bike rental, wine storage; everything was great, and as mentioned, the staff is superb. The only disappointment was the actual room. We booked the Premium category, but the room didn't look at all as displayed. We had a parking view and the room was just OK. A bummer as it didn't match the overall wonderful experience we encountered at this exceptional hotel. Also, the room cleaning was not up to standard. Dirty towels (we put on the floor) were taken but not exchanged. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel, but we would ensure we will get an appropriate room per booked category when visiting again.

The food was EXCEPTIONAL. The best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel or B&B. We loved the fact that we were given a suite (3 adult family members in two separate bedrooms was a pleasant surprise!) and that there was a lift/elevator.

It was home far away from home, a couple of minutes from the highway and close to the attractions. The room was comfortable and cozy.

This was a small Mom and Pop guesthouse with two rooms and a covered (roof) open restaurant. Mom and Dad have a cute little daughter. They also have a big old ugly dog. It is located in Saint Hippolyte, a lovely little Alsacien village on the wine route. Dad did the cooking for the evening meal at the restaurant and Mom did the serving. The restaurant was complet as they say here in France. There were only two guest families. The rest were locals. The food was excellent and the wine was magnifique as you might imagine. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Two parking spots on the premises for the two guests. We highly recommend it.

I got attracted by the price and the decorations of the room. More niceties: plenty of towels, good bathroom supplies, good windows - easy to open, gorgeous view, quite neighbourhood. Felt quite special. Wish we stayed there longer.
