Tanunda is a lovely little town with a good selection of restaurants and shops. It has character and the locals were friendly. It has a cycle trail running through it which is good for walking and cycling. Bikes can be hired locally. Getting around was easy, we walked to dinner and took a taxi to lunch outside town at Hentley Farm.

Tanunda’s a lovely place to visit and the perfect base for winery visits. Plenty of good eateries and choice of wine cellars in Tanunda itself. Ferment Asian restaurant is lovely and the Angus burger at Char Grill was cooked to perfection. Z wines does great tropical sangria jugs. Nosh cafe is a quirky place and a bit like a tardis with very friendly staff. Krondoff cellar staff very friendly and good wine choice. Visitor centre very helpful and definitely worth visiting to check out what is on in the area.

A nice town catering for travellers to the Barossa Valley.
A nice town catering for travellers to the Barossa Valley. A typical tourist town providing accommodation and many restaurants (some of dubious quality such as Char Barossa which is to be avoided at all costs), but a pleasant place to stay all the same. Very central to many of the wineries in the region.

Perfect base to visit the many wineries around Barossa.
Perfect base to visit the many wineries around Barossa. There is an abundance of great cafes and restaurants with 1918 and Bar Musque on the top of our list for dinner and Blackbird have incredible breakfasts. Everyone from the cafes to Foodland supermarket were so friendly and the passion they have for the Barossa, vineyards, local produce and history of the area is amazing. All cellar doors were exceptional with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bethany and Rockfords were outstanding. A visit to Maggie Beers Farm shop and the Chocolate Factory is also recommended and very enjoyable to relax and appreciate the surrounds. Easy cycling around Tanunda to enjoy the scenery at closer range was a lot of fun. Wonderful location with plenty more on offer than noted above.

Tanunda and Angaston are both beautiful towns.
Tanunda and Angaston are both beautiful towns. Good food, good wine and beautiful scenery. Strongly suggest Casa Caboni for a great authentic Italian meal. The Clubhouse accomodation was very modern, spacious and a guaranteed great night's sleep. Good dining facilities available for lunch and dinner. Breakfast isn't available but there are plenty of cafe options close by. Wineries are also great. Gibson and Willow are well worth a look (and taste). Best of all you don't have to buy a flight. You can drink what you like! 10/10
It feels like being home when staying at Barossa House. Sophia is a wonderful, warm and cheerful host.
She always has great recommendations on what to do, visit or just lounge at the house.
Breakfast is hearty and wonderful to be able to mingle with other travellers staying at her place. Nadia is also wonderful and helpful that made it a wonderful stay at Barossa House.
Perfect location in Tanunda, easy walking distance to main shopping area, spectacular view of the hills, lots of room to move, great facilities, including fire pit to sit and admire the views with a nice glass of bubbles, while enjoying a BBQ. Attention to detail. House has all kitchen requirements and more. Would recommend staying at Barossa Idyll.
A well appointed apartment more like a town house in a very central location. It is right in the centre of Tanunda with easy access to Angaston, Nurioopta, Seppeltsfield, Lyndoch and Eden Valley. We loved the open living space and how thoughtful the furnishings were. WiFi worked well - a big plus with a couple of work calls. Parking very convenient.
Warm friendly welcome from our lovely hostess , Sophia .
Great base to explore the local attractions and restaurants in Tanunda . Lovely garden entry and tastefully decorated rooms in the traditional B&B style . At the end of the day it was a homely spot to return to and enjoy a drink on the wide open verandah where breakfast was also enjoyed.
A lovely little studio with an outdoor courtyard to enjoy on sunny days. Close enough to the center of Tanunda to walk to cellar doors and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and the space was bright and clean. Lots of delicious goodies and a bottle of wine provided by the hosts.
Great location, lovely appartment, beautiful comfy beds with delightful lovely linen. Great unexpected extras, bread, milk, jam, eggs etc etc and delightful eco friendly products. Thank you The Loft Tanunda we had a very happy stay and definitely would be back and recommend.
Everything, although not modern it was a very spacious comfortable accomodation. We loved all the special little things like oil, s&p and Tim tam biscuits, band aids, cotton buds etc. Lovely linen and washing machine. Location is great 100 metres from Chateau Tanunda.
Charming, clean, old-world style cottage. Menge cottage is quite spacious. Great breakfast provisions. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Bookcase full of interesting books. Location very good. Quiet street but within easy walking distance of Tanunda's main street.

Cottage was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. Breakfast supplies were very generous, plus wine. Host was very friendly when contacted for information on how to access cottage.
We will definitely recommend this cottage to others.
Could walk to Tanunda shops, cafes & galleries. Clean. Comfy beds. New tiling in bathroom. Park under cover outside room. Good supply of cutlery & dishes so could eat in room. Lovely restaurant on site.
The Reception lady was lovely and very helpful. The Asian restaurant at the hotel provided nice food. The hotel location was terrific - Tanunda was central to all the Barossa wineries, etc.
