Great place to stay away from big cities. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant was closed, but staff recommending a neighboring Beer Garden place that was very good. Breakfast was complete and filling.

I loved my balcony with a view of the Alps. It was the perfect place to have my first cup of coffee--with a kettle and coffee provided. I don't know why other reviewers complained about the reception staff. Both women I dealt with were excellent. The restaurant next door had great food, and there too the staff were very friendly. I came to Penzberg to go to the very good art museum. If I had more to do there, I would have stayed at the hotel longer.
