Heppenheim is in an old wine-growing region.
Heppenheim is in an old wine-growing region. Impressive half-timbered buildings (Fachwerk) in the old town area (Altstadt) still testify to the town's former heyday.
The Marktplatz, the centre of the old town area, is situated at the top of hill with many half-timbered houses on its slopes and is full of terraces.
it is perfectly situated to explore the wider region of the Hessiche Bergstrasse; The tiny region itself takes its name from an old Roman trade route known as the strata montana, or mountain road. It is a pretty landscape of vines and orchards scattered on hilly slopes famous for its colorful and fragrant springtime blossoms, the earliest in Germany. Castles and palaces, medieval noble courts, historic half-timbered houses and proud town halls, legendary villages lined up like pearls in a necklace, all bear witness to a colourful past.

Heppenheim is a beautiful little town and the prettiest part is the Marktplatz in the old town, which is where Villa Boddin is located; you couldn't wish for a better location. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was simply amazing! Just about the best I've had in any hotel.
Everything was perfect! The room was very big and comfortable. The position is very good: it is near the train station but the room is very quiet during the night. The owners of the Hotel are super nice and kind. A big thank you to the man that prepared us the eggs every day!
Wonderful hotel in a painteresque village, breathtaking location and view, thoughtful interior decoration both of the restaurant and the rooms, comfortable and atmospheric room, excellent breakfast, friendly personnel - in particular at the breakfast service.
The hotel was a perfect spot to spend a couple of days. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The location was excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There was free parking nearby, and the hotel restaurant food was delicious!
Location. Location. Location. You cannot get anymore "quintessential historical German" than this. Right on the center square in old town. Surrounded by small restaurants. We even got to see a wedding happening right in front of he hotel. So cute!
There is nothing to like about this hotel. . I think the only good thing when we complained about the rooms being dirty the receptiontist was fair enough to let us know that the rooms are old and there is nothing she could do about it
Wonderful stay and hearty breakfast. The room was very large and had a nice sitting area both inside and out on the balcony. We booked that day, and the hotel was great about communicating how to access our room.
The location of Michael hotel is very good the breakfast was very nice I have intolerance with gluten and lactose I sent an email before and they make sure they would accommodate myself. I do recommend the hotel.
Very cute boutique hotel. I wish we would have arrived earlier for the dinner. It smelled really good. Breakfast was nice. Very easy and close location. I hope to come again
