Great location with short walk to city center. We didnt eat breakfast there but loved the coffee machine to make coffee, cappucinos and especially hot chocolates when we returned after cold day sight seeing

Everything excellent. Only bit of a concern no lift and third floor stairs a bit difficult to reach. Porter carried our bags up so just a minor concern. Excellent breakfast.
Hotel Grand Canal is quietly situated in the center of Delft and just 160 yards away from Delft’s Central Train Station, which offers many public transportation facilities.

Proximity to the Train Station. The facade of the building, the entryway and the lounge were very quaint but my room was modernly renovated. The white colors added some light and warmth. My bed was so comfortable!! Everyday, I look forward to the breakfast. They are delicately presented and so yummy 😋

Very good hotel. Parking, near Delft. Walking distance.
Delft is a picturesque Dutch city with canals and historic buildings, situated between Rotterdam and The Hague. Birthplace of the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, this destination is also home to the iconic Delft blue porcelain and the University of Technology.
Like a phoenix from the ashes, the 17th century Town Hall of Delft was destroyed on 1618 and rebuilt by the architect Hendrick de Keyser. Located across from the City Hall in the centre of the Market square, the Protestant church of Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) with the imposing tower is connected with the Dutch Royal Family.
Resting place for Piet Hein, Maarten Tromp and Johannes Vermeer, the Oude Kerk (Old Church) was built in 1240 and is one of the main landmarks of the city along with the Prinsenhof. Booking.com offers a variety of apartments and hotels in the centre of Delft.
The Delftware factories with the blue ceramics and the hand-painted porcelain are definitely something that travellers should not miss while visiting the Netherlands. Weather permitting, you can enjoy a local beer on a canal terrace.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is about 40 minutes away by car or public transport. Delft railway station has train connections to Amsterdam, Utrecht and Leiden.

The town is so unique, churches to visit and beautiful squares surrounded by restaurants and cafes. Lovely places for brunch in the mornings and for beer in the evenings. The atmosphere in the evenings is wonderful. It is easy to get around on foot. the view from the New Church roof top is spectacular, tho the 300+ steps are not easy. Recommended eateries are Kek coffee and Delfts Brouwhuis

Delft is a nice size, easily walkable for the main part.
Delft is a nice size, easily walkable for the main part. Train station to the centre is 15-20 minutes maximum. Plenty of hotels, good restaurants of all cuisines, Dutch, Indonesian were ones we tried, but there are French, European, smaller snack-type bistros too. We spent just a couple days in Delft, but the Vermeer Centre and Museum Prinsenhof were well worthwhile, spent most of a day in each. We could have spent longer in Delft.

Central or old Delft is well worth a visit.
Central or old Delft is well worth a visit. It’s on a human scale. The two big churches are beautiful, the working windmill is charming and the Vermeer Centrum is interesting. We particularly enjoyed how peaceful the town is, with great crested grebes, coots and other waterfowl swimming in its serene canals. Cyclists outnumber motorists and the town has a youthful atmosphere owing to the university. Shops and restaurants offer very good products, food and service at reasonable prices. Above all, the people are very helpful and friendly.

Delft is a lovely place and I hope to take my wife next time as the food, bars and atmosphere in the centre was lovely.
The many bars and places to eat will suit most people and they are all (well the ones I tried) were reasonably priced. I will certainly go back again - and hopefully not involving a business trip.

lots of history and wealth, as well as blossoming tech research. loved the climb up the tower of the "new-church", scary, felt like touching the clouds. it was interesting to find out how local politics evolved around water management as a crucial part of life.

In view of my review of the hotel, I would recommend Delft...
In view of my review of the hotel, I would recommend Delft but not the hotel particularly because of the noise issue and disagreeable frying smells in the morning.
If those things get sorted I will be happy to book at this hotel again.
Perfect location, very near to the center of Delft. Can only recommend. Breakfast was really super delicious. The room was very interesting. Our children also liked the nice paintings and windmills on the wall. Stuff was also always very friendly. Can only recommend this place. Was fun that the back of the bed could have been lifted up with the remote control.
I really liked the view on the city from our window and the shower with the painting. And in general the style of the hotel.
Excellent breakfast, very good and warm service, helpful and attentive (7 am to 11 pm through, which is very rare for such small hotels).
Despite the old (and charming) building, everything (heating, warm shower, etc.) works well.
I liked the relaxed atmosphere of a small boutique hotel, with however attention to the details.
Excellent location : in a calm neighborhood, 10 min walking distance to the beautiful centre of Delft as well as 10 min to the Technical University.
Comfort bed, super-clean, design of the bath, toilet or bedroom and living area very thoughtful enough space and more light, the housekeeping never forget about shampoo, coffee, etc. Breakfast very nice restaurant in the lobby lounge of the hotel and I like the design of the hotel with a lot of beautiful paintings and polite services there. For sure next trip in Delft will be there again at Johannes Ver Meer. So far, we give them the 10/10 rating. Super Wonderful!!!
Despite the small size room was furnished decently, decorated nicely and had small luxury elements such as light dimmer and heated floor in bathroom - it's details like that give a regular hotel room a cozy homely feeling. The garden and the lounge room downstairs with a variety of free hot beverages and treats were also delightful. The hotel is located short walk away from city center and train station, yet surrounded by quiet peaceful atmosphere
It was a characterful (rustic) B&B in a good location - we walked into Delft and back once (that was a lot of walking when added to walking round Delft); on a second trip into Delft, we parked in the free car park the hotel suggested, reducing the extra walking. Although there was no fridge in the room, there was a communal fridge for guests which worked well. The bedroom was exceptionally large with a good table and chairs at one end.
Excellent location, with 2 of Delft's top-rated restaurants next door and all the city's tourist attractions within walking distance. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. An art movie cinema is situated opposite the hotel. The tram station (Prinsenhof) is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and goes to The Hague Centre and Scheveningen beach. Breakfast is included and the hotel organizes transport if necessary, at a fee.
There was a problem at the hotel so we were relocated to an appartment in the centre of Delft. Location was amazing with everything very accessible and we could also see part of the the market, on the days it was running. We had a lovely view and part of our enjoyment was sitting looking out the window, with the bonus of a nesting crested grebe on the canal. We loved it.
Basic hotel with clean rooms and good beds. Polite and friendly staff.
Accommodation and room are fine but without any atmosphere. No hotel parking facilities available; paid parking at the public streets around the hotel if you find a free spot. Some hotel rooms seem to have a nice view upon the historical centre of Delft.
Delft is just simply amazing!! Beautiful ang gorgeous peaceful place!
This hotel is so close to the train station. Clean and smells good! Relaxing place to stay after hauling luggage’s/travelling .
Good breakfast and gluten free bread was provided.
Convenient, modern and well located hotel. operating since 2020, so still very new. Location very close to the charming Delft old town and the railway station with good connection to Amsterdam/Schiphol, so perfect for those without the car.
Location was excellent - maximum 5 minute walk from train station. Easy walk to city. Breakfast was wonderful - eggs made to order. Room was very quiet. Staff was very helpful - they had museum tickets at hotel for reduced prices.
It was quiet and comfortable and the staff were professional, kind and friendly. The location of the hotel was within minutes walk of shops, eateries and sites of Delft center and on bus line. So I didn't need to taxi at all.
Great location, central in Delft city.
Very cosy hotel with kind staff. Nice breakfast, lots of choice and fresh food!
Although the rooms are quite basic the beds are really comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
Great boutique hotel in the canal
Church and canal views from the room
Cozy, and at the same time spacious
Newly furbished
We got a room with great big windows overlooking the canal
Central location in Old Delft
We had a fabulous stay at this very convenient to the railway station hotel . The staff were helpful. The room was clean. The centre of town is a short 10 minute walk away with lots to see and good restaurants/bars.
