Everything! What a great hotel, I traveled for 9 days around Portugal and stayed in 8 hotels this is so far the best hotel. The room, super clean and the best bed and pillow, I slept like a baby.
The location is perfect, 22 min driving to faro and 44 to Lagos.
The staff is really nice, they make you feel welcomed and the breakfast, you will find the best food to start your day. I loved this hotel.

Almancil is a small town with good supermarkets, bars/cafes and restaurants. Excellent access point via road (quick access to a A22 but without the noise) or rail to the Algarve and North to Lisbon. Within 30mins drive of a good number of golf, tennis & bowls opportunities and 15mins from beaches & market towns.

Liked the well appointed kitchen for cooking and storing food in fridge. Aircon in bedroom was a plus. Bedroom was a good size. Outdoor living area was also great. Nice and quiet for sleeping. The beach was not really walking distance. Train was close. Shops not too far.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10
Almancil is a wonderful little village, close to everything...
Almancil is a wonderful little village, close to everything you might need and plenty of other places of interest are only 15 minutes away by car. We found that although it was full of Portuguese charm, it was a very popular holiday destination. We had the opportunity to try Juncalinho, Borges and Nuno's which were lovely and served traditional Portuguese food, which is what we were hoping for on our holiday. We also got a takeaway from Brasa Frango & Co, which was fantastic if you fancy a night in. The chicken and peri peri sauce was perfect. I would recommend Almacil for solo travellers who want to...
I would recommend Almacil for solo travellers who want to get away and see the beautiful country of Portugal. Public transport via bus are short walks away and easy to find via google maps. Key places are a short journey away such as Faro, Quarteira and Albufeira. Plenty of places to eat and also has two supermarkets, one of them being Aldi which has most things you could possibly need. I found the locals very friendly and overall i felt safe wondering around and exploring. Would i go again? no because ide rather be by the beach but thats a personal preference although the beach is short bus journey away but not really walkable as it takes around 1.5 hours to walk.SquarUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

This town has a range of supermarkets, many restaurants, some cafes and a gem - the Church of St Lawrence (Igreja de São Lourenço). This is lined from floor to ceiling with tiles, which depict stations of the cross and much more. The tiles are highlighted with gilded wood carvings, especially around the alter.

almancil is a very large town there is a huge hypermarket there some lovely local restuarants .very cheap to eat and drink in could not find much nightlife but its only twenty minutes from villamoura.

It is a 5-10 walk from Almancil and a short drive from Vilamoura and other neighbouring towns. It's the ideal location for a peaceful break but is well connected if you wish to explore the area. Steven and Teresa were very welcoming and made our stay amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Algarve.
