Great location and the staff were really nice. We had the family room with sea view (for my husband and I) and the room was spacious and had a lovely window seat to watch the sea. We will deffo come back. It was nice to have a poached haddock option for breakfast too.

I loved the people in this place so helpful and friendly, Recommend two cafes for a fantastic breakfast, The Kings Coffee and The Hog and Bean. There are lots of charity shops and quirky shops to look around and a very popular bakery. On a Saturday there is a market. Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot.
Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot. Lots of independent shops, but there are two big supermarkets too. Lots of cafes! Interesting history very well described on clear tourist information boards along the seafront. Beware midweek in low season as most of the museums and both the castles are only open at weekends. That said, the coastal path is delightful and I spent my time (two weekdays in November) happily walking by the sea even though the attractions weren't open. Excellent public library with good local history section too.

Great place to stay.
Great place to stay. We really enjoyed having walks along the seafront and along the pier. Seafront pubs are great. Visit the Port Arms and Kings Head. The August Bank Holiday Weekend Food & Drink Festival was a great place to listen to the live music and have a relaxing arvo. Good Chinese, and Indian takeaways plus Fish & Chips near the seafront. Easy trip to Sandwich Bay for low tide walks to check out the shipwrecks and B17 bomber remains.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

The parking price was rather expensive and parking space are hard to find if you didn’t get there early enough. Still has lots of lovely pubs on the front fish and chips seafood stall and lots of little shops . We felt safe walking around at night it was lovely and peaceful. Nearly forgot there’s a big church which does a lovely breakfast and looks like lovely food also for lunch and there’s a little club or pub sitting on the side of it looks like they’ve made good use of a What looks like a church and a market on a Saturday to walk around.

The bed was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a spacious bathtub. Staff were lovely and the little bar by the entrance was very cosy in the evening with good gin! Easy and quick check in and out, great location, practically opposite Deal pier with the town behind the hotel. Great pub next door and really good restaurants next to that. The room was exceptionally well equipped and clean, with great facilities. Location was perfect for us; lovely and quiet but within easy reach of everything Deal has to offer. Howard was the perfect host and we really enjoyed meeting him and chatting over breakfast. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and we particularly liked the homemade bread and jams. We would love to return next time we come to Deal and would recommend Jonan House to anyone.

The owners Phyl and Al were exceptional hosts who were always available should you have any queries or requests. Although a little out of Deal the walk from the Hotel was around 30 minutes, walking mostly along the seafront, which suited us. Deal is a lively little town with many good coffee shops and eateries. The room was lean, tidy, with a sea view. It was on the corner of the hotel on the road so was a little noisy in the early morning, but not a big issue. the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also very good. Will definitely use the hotel again.
