I loved the people in this place so helpful and friendly, Recommend two cafes for a fantastic breakfast, The Kings Coffee and The Hog and Bean.
There are lots of charity shops and quirky shops to look around and a very popular bakery. On a Saturday there is a market. There is also a castle but unfortunately we didn't get round to visiting.

Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot.
Very pretty seaside town; easy to explore on foot. Lots of independent shops, but there are two big supermarkets too. Lots of cafes! Interesting history very well described on clear tourist information boards along the seafront. Beware midweek in low season as most of the museums and both the castles are only open at weekends. That said, the coastal path is delightful and I spent my time (two weekdays in November) happily walking by the sea even though the attractions weren't open. Excellent public library with good local history section too.

Deal it’s self is a very clean and tidy place, there are some great choices of food restaurants and some good shops to treat yourselves, especially like walking along the pier and going to the castle for our young son.
Would definitely be returning
Extra effort was made by leaving cereal, cereal bars, bottles of cold water and milk in the fridge and having more than the usual two teabags in the room! The bed was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom was clean with a spacious bathtub. Staff were lovely and the little bar by the entrance was very cosy in the evening with good gin! Easy and quick check in and out, great location, practically opposite Deal pier with the town behind the hotel. Great pub next door and really good restaurants next to that. We had a fantastic stay thank you.
excellent waterfront location in Deal, not far from Dover (we needed to take ferry to France) as well as cute towns of Canterbury/Whitstable and nice alternative to London (cooler weather)!
*convenient w parking (free after 6pm-9am; helpful to pay via mobile app; library right behind hotel and high street super close, as is the pier; we really enjoy the breakfast - Spencer so chill and friendly, roast/carvery too
(amazing value, w retro toilets/shared bathrooms/showers; nice family owned by 2 brothers)
My husband & I recently moved to England and needed a place to stay, while we found housing, car etc. The Anne Boylne escape was the perfect choice. The room was spacious, immaculate, bed was beautifully fitted with fabulous bedding. Our bedding, towels, etc was changed often. The owners, Vivian & Barry were ever so helpful during our 14 day stay. They made sure we were comfortable and looked after us very well. Highly recommend! We had a wonderful stay at Jonan House. The room was exceptionally well equipped and clean, with great facilities. Location was perfect for us; lovely and quiet but within easy reach of everything Deal has to offer. Howard was the perfect host and we really enjoyed meeting him and chatting over breakfast. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and we particularly liked the homemade bread and jams. We would love to return next time we come to Deal and would recommend Jonan House to anyone.
Glebe House Hotel was very homely, beautifully kept and clean. The owners Phyl and Al were exceptional hosts who were always available should you have any queries or requests. Although a little out of Deal the walk from the Hotel was around 30 minutes, walking mostly along the seafront, which suited us. Deal is a lively little town with many good coffee shops and eateries. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Glebe House and will happily re book this Hotel if we return to the area.
Very comfortable cottage. Well maintained with nice furnishings. Very comfortable beds. Plenty of clothes storage space and hangers. Right in middle of Deal. Close to supermarkets, High Street and Beach. Excellent communication with owner. Welcoming card and box of chocolates. Lots of crockery, cutlery and glasses. Coffee maker with lots of pods. Smart TV with access to my Netfllix account.
We had a one night stay there. The hotel is very well located in Deal. The room was lean, tidy, with a sea view. It was on the corner of the hotel on the road so was a little noisy in the early morning, but not a big issue. the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also very good. Will definitely use the hotel again.
Everything was tip top from the checkin to Jeff and the staff being welcoming, informative and as charming as this boutique hotel itself. Great value for money and lovely breakfasts. Right on the waterfront as it claims and central to town which has a thriving seaside village atmosphere. I shall return!
The Royal hotel was exceptional would highly recommend.
Excellent location within Deal town centre so everything within walking distance! Located at the beach and sea front! 10 minute walk from rail station to hotel.
The staff were always very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble.
The room was spotless, the bed very comfy. Couldn’t have a meal on Sunday evening but the lovely landlord let us order a takeaway to be delivered to the pub! Excellent Indian food. Provided us with plates etc. Parking opposite pub. 14 miles from the ferry.
This B&B is at the end of a quiet close & room & bathroom immaculate. The owner, Steph, was lovely & laid on a fab breakfast in the morning. Was great location for us as only short walk to Deal Welfare club where we had a wedding reception to attend
The hotel was conveniently located. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The evening bar with the "honor system" was excellent with a good variety of drink available.
We liked the atmosphere of the hotel come Pub, our room looked over the sea, the hotel is a beautiful and well kept location everyone who passes or drinks on the open roadside tables takes photos it is ideal.
Such a lovely site. It was so quiet and lots of space round the lodges. Easy walk to the beach and along to Deal. The pool was good too. Would love to return.
