Buckingham House Apartment 2, hotel in Macclesfield

Buckingham House Apartment 2 offers accommodations in Macclesfield, 7.6 miles from Capesthorne Hall and 16 miles from Trentham Gardens.

Entry was via codes emailed in advance. The apartment was very secure, requiring codes at three separate locations to get in (gate code, main door code, apartment door code). Inside, it was very clean (apart from under the beds) and modern. The electric radiators heated up the apartment very quickly. The car park was very handy and secure.

The location is 4 mins walk from the train station in amongst some really lovely bars and restaurants. The room itself is super cute and it is clear the host has put some real thought on what could make your stay special. The room has all the amenities you need and is given a quick clean every day. A choice of hot or cold breakfast is available, which was tasty.

I like Macclesfield because it is a pretty town with good links to Manchester if you need the big city, the Peak District if you like walking, and Buxton if you want a bit of culture. The town is of a manageable size with pretty parks, and it has various small events going on in the local pubs, plus each month there is the Treacle Market, which is a popular feature of Macclesfield.

I came for the silk museum and the Paradise Mill which I can recommend both. The Treacle Market on the last Sunday of the month was a good experience. The weather was sunny, but often was a chill strong wind, I missed a hat. It takes only 30 minutes to travel by train to Manchester, and about 2 hours to London. There are good restaurants and pubs! There are many places to take a nice walk in the nature of the surrounding area, but unfortunately I had to postpone them.

A nice small town centre, a good choice of eateries & cafes, A couple of good ladies boutiques along with a lovely shop Rocco selling stylish boots & trainers. The Tytherington hotel is well worth a stay as they have a good Spa & pool. Another small hotel nearby is BoHotel & eatery, lovely. Free car parking available for the town centre too.

We enjoyed our stay in Macclesfield and it was a good centre for exploring the surrounding area. The town has a silk museum and various other interesting buildings. We can highly recommend the Chinese restaurant, Jin.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure.

I went to Macclesfield for business , not leisure. It is a small town where shops and restaurants generally close quite early. I did not have anytime to do any sightseeing in the town or outside - so I cannot really comment about the place from a leisure point of view.

I wasn't a tourist oin this trip but visiting friends in an area I used to live in. I ate at The Chilli Banana, a large Thai restaurant and had an enjoyable meal. Also used the Coffee Shop at Arighi Bianci both for coffee stop over and lunch and it's a good location - not only do you get to see the cream of household furnishings spread over mutliple floors, but this excellent cafe.

Very convenient location - close to the town and train station - comfortable - and had everything I needed. Really appreciated the little touches like the different teas and a few bathroom products. Would definitely stay again and/or recommend to others. The other thing was that were a couple of really very, very minor hiccups which I mention purely because of the speed (and cheerfulness) with which Nadine fixed them - and that is what really matters! So there was no impact on my stay.

I liked the flat very much overall. It is nicely done up and decorated, cosy with a contemporary, clean styling. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use with quality appliances. Comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and attention to details throughout the flat. Great location too, close to Macclesfield town centre. The hosting company was quick and easy to communicate with and sent detailed information before arrival.

This extraordinary hotel gives you the feeling of the real essence of the British hospitality in a location where you feel the history of the past centuries; you experience immediately the warmth of the ancient style of the dining- and sleepingrooms wonderfully furnished in harmony to the history of this typical English countryside house. You will always come back when you are again in the area of Manchester.

Fantastic relaxing location! Green surroundings. Looking down on the Manchester skyline on the horizon. A place to make nice walks or a short evening tour into the hills. Great main building. I did not use the spa facilities but the outside pool etc. also looked very attractive... hope to be back there one day (I don't often say that about hotels). Large free parking area, good bed, good bathroom...

Great vibe, if you are after a cosy, romantic but casual get away id recommend this lovely place. You can use all spa facilities and the pool and they have a restaurant in house, didn’t use as it didn’t have an atmosphere, however we went to the town centre and ate there, was in a good location! The rooms were beautiful and well equipped, I would recommend this hotel!

Wonderful, beautiful rooms that feel like a home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, really wish I could stay longer just to enjoy the comfort of that! The host, Laura, is incredibly helpful, and friendly and will go above and beyond to accommodate you. Definitely not your conventional run-of-the-mill hotel stay.

The room was large and comfy although dark as it faced a wall. The twin beds were adequate and the breakfast, buffet style, was also fine. The hotel is in a good location for walking and yet not too far from Macclesfield. The staff were attentive and helpful as our room key stopped working on several occasions.

The hotel and rooms are in a very good location within the heart of Cheshire. There is an element of walking involved to find your room as the hotel is spread across many differing floors and corridors.
