Exceptional place to stay. We had a warm welcome, really great helpful staff. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. We has such a fantastic time, and wonderful comfortable bed, very relaxing. Everything was high quality including our breakfast ( lovely bright breakfast room with super views). Easily one of the best (actually, probably the best!) Place we ever stayed. Highly recommended, many thanks

We have visited Inverness three times now, but this was our first stay in Nairn. The beach is very welcoming with plenty of space to walk, run, play and enjoy the views; this is the kind of beach I would visit and walk along every day if I lived there. Located close nearby are various historical places to visit (Cawdor Castle, Culloden, Clava Cairns) and Inverness is not far away. Not being much of a "city person" I love to wake up to views and fresh air -- and Nairn offers places like the Invernairne Hotel that enable you to do that and still visit so much nearby.

Lovely seaside town near Loch Ness.
Lovely seaside town near Loch Ness. The beach was lovely to stroll along, as was the canal. Lots of restaurants dotted around town. An amazing ice cream shop located in park near the beach is worth seeking out. The architecture of some areas was stunning old Edwardian homes, really enjoyed wandering around the streets looking at them.

Charming town. I recommend visiting the Nairn Museum first.
Charming town. I recommend visiting the Nairn Museum first. Their volunteers are helpful and have first hand knowledge of the history of the town. I recommend having a car to travel to sites around Nairn that are too far to walk.

Nairn is a very nice town except for the High St which like most in Scotland is suffering at present. However nice to remember the old shops closed now Mackays grocer, Rose Brothers, Gauls toy shop Heards Morgantis to name a few, Nice to see Pat Fraser is still there. Recommend the Classroom at the top of the High Street to eat. Very easy to walk around and nice walks at the river.
This hotel has been much improved since it became part of the Muthu group, and is basically an attractive and comfortable place to stay in Nairn. It's set in attractive grounds and about a ten minute walk to the beach along a footpath across a golf course. Overall, it has a great feel.
The conservetory restaurant is attractive and comfortable, and dinner was well presented though the taste was fair at best for a hotel of this type.
All the staff were friendly, and the reception staff also efficient and helpful.
A lovely guest house/hotel which was much larger than anticipated with excellent friendly service. Superb location with lots of parking, a very pretty garden with a pathway straight down to the beach, with a lovely walk straight into the lovely town of Nairn within a few minutes. The communal rooms were really excellent - the lovely light dining room (with fantastic breakfast) was an amazing contrast to the beautifully wood panelled lounge and bar area. Lovely sea views from both rooms.
Tha Bandstand is a hotel on top of a pub / restaurant in Nairn, very close to the sea. The pub and the restaurant are actually separated, so that if you don't like the live music in the pub section, it will not bother you while you're having dinner in the restaurant.
The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced also. That's where breakfast is served and it's good.
The position is priceless, close to the sea and enjoying a very nice view.
Our hosts, Terry and Marion, were so gracious and welcoming. They made us feel like family. The room was spacious and the bathroom very spacious. The place was extremely clean. My kids loved their dog Seamus! And Marion's porridge was the best we had in Scotland! I would happily stay there again and hardily recommend the Haylodge to other travelers.
I was up to do a gig nearby and I finished quite late, so it was so good to be able to get back to the 1645 hotel and relax at the bar and enjoy some great craik from locals and staff. The breakfast was lovely too. Thank you for everything, if I get another gig up there’ll I’ll be sure and be back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean with a window seat overlooking the ocean. Dinner and breakfast were very good. The beach next to the hotel was perfect for an afternoon or morning stroll and had a promenade next to it if you didn't want to walk on the sand or pebbles.
Sparkling clean, cosy and comfortable, great proximity to Nairn High Street with wee independent shops, supermarkets and eateries/takeaways.Friendly and responsive hosts.Warm and toasty inside even on cold days.Minutes away from beautiful Nairn beach, the bus and rail station, Nairn Community Centre.
Everything was perfect. So much thought & warmth from Sharon & Greg on design and decor. They gave me lots of information on local area too.
The north east coast of Scotland is so beautiful & tranquil and still have convenience of lots of tourist attractions, restaurants and lovely boutique shops.
The hotel is situated on a beautiful quiet street about 15 min walk from centre of Nairn. My room was very comfortable and incredibly clean with an amazing wet floor shower (think that’s what they are called!) I can’t comment on Breakfast because I never had any. Staff very helpful on my arrival!
The apartment was just perfect. Clean, modern, quality throughout and close to the beach and town of Nairn . A real bonus to have doors opening out over the river from the main bedroom and lounge Our host communicated by return and was most helpful.
location, friendlines and helpfulness of staff, wonderful breakfasts, nice selection of beers and comfortable lounge / bar area. the town of Nairn itself, comfy bed, value for money, shower worked perfectly, quiet room at back of hotel
The location was EXCELLENT. Food was Delicious, Plentiful.VERY Pleasant Staff with terrific customer service!!
Accommodation modern, most comfortable and very clean.l wouldn't stay anywhere elsewhere in Nairn.
I love the warm welcome received from the staff and the owners as well as the food and positive vibe from the owners, Richo, and his family. They are amazing. It's never a dull moment at this hotel.
Quiet, peaceful, very spacious, nicely furnished place with all the amenities you may need. Nice location as well, as a base for sights around Inverness.
