The Merrie Lion is a delightful pub and inn with exceptional service. Everyone was warm, kind, and friendly and so attentive to our needs. Every meal we had was delicious--especially the breakfasts each morning. The room was well appointed with modern yet cozy decor. The room was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Amazing breakfasts cooked by the wonderful hosts got me off to a fantastic start each morning. Free parking was a great addition for us. The hosts were very welcoming. I had to do remote work the day we checked out and they extended my check out as late as they could so I could work from my room but then generously let me l stay in their dining area to do work all day, no extra cost.

We tried the nearby Falcon gastro pub (In Good Pub Guide)..very good. Property is just inside the Cotswolds. We visited two very good nearby National Trust properties - Upton House and Farnborough Hall.
Some of the roads are a bit narrow but that is expected in rural parts of the UK,
