The Inn is out in the country, all on it;s own and, from memory, about 5 miles from the town of Watchet. We never got to see the actual town as ,it was so busy , there was nowhere to park - especially with a Blue Badge.

The harbour and the steam train were the highlights of our stay. It wasn’t terribly touristy when we were there (just before the schools’ summer holidays), it was sunny and we found a very good cider pub (Pebbles Tavern) where we encountered an evening of shanty songs session with all the customers joining in the chorus.
If you like walking, Exmoor isn’t far with Dunkery Beacon a popular attraction for a quick hike.

I knew Watchet as a day visitor, from many years ago, but I had not visited the town for over 15 years. Back then, I liked Watchet and its history, but it did feel a little tired and stuck in time.
On my recent visit, the town was noticeably different and more active, particularly with the new East Quay development. I felt that the town had much more to offer. I will visit and stay again.

What an amazing place.
What an amazing place. So much happening, including lots of live music, market on Wednesday and on Sunday sometimes. A community arts collective, including a bookshop, art gallery, some small independent retailers of pottery and other hand crafted products. A paper making workshop, and cafe/restaurant serving delicious, mainly vegetarian food. Most striking was the friendliness of the locals, across all ages - we were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met.

The pods are really just for sleeping in due to very limited facilities in them. They were opposite the quay, shops, etc, so when the rain pelted down all the stairs were a bit precarious in the wet. Nice not to have a TV, it did have a radio and most of us have tablets etc anyway. Signal fine in pods, dodgy in some local shops, l had to go to the post office for cash as twice in shops they couldn't get a signal! Watchet is compact and l spent the day there, l feel l have seen it all.

The location was perfect and secure. Ideal for three adults. Free parking close to the apartment very convenient.
Watchet was a lovely town to stay.
Brilliant pubs for food and drink. Great Fish and Chip shop (Mariners).
Fantastic Wednesday market on harbour side.
Two great museums, one covering the town history, and the other an interesting radio museum, both within walking distance of the town.
Host spoke to us on the telephone before we left and gave good directions. The property is fabulous, clean, everything you could think of supplied, delightful location, we had use of the pretty garden, and the property is on a quiet location but, close to Watchet and main road to access the coast and Exmoor National Park. The property has lovely decking outside so we could sit outside in the lovely weather and just relax and unwind. It was magic, we loved every minute and would not hesitate to return.
This cannot be called a hotel very poor standards breakfast OK but I asked for utensils staff said use a big spoon to take breakfast breakfast of the heater used for food tables were sticky NOT cleaned properly this is more a backpackers place if your disabled it's not suitable no lift all stars rugs in reception filthy very old tired place no toiletries to small bathroom room cold no heating on at all booked for 3 nights left after 1st night
The accomodation was well-equipped and comfortable. The back garden was a lovely spot to sit outside and relax. The flowers and groceries supplied by the hosts were a lovely gesture. Easy access to local amenities and location ideal for exploring north Somerset and Exmoor with lots of useful information/guides supplied. Good Wi fi (unlike a lot of other places we have visited)!
Location fantastic - right in centre of Watchet, and off-street parking included!
Fossil beaches walkable.
Kim and Dave very welcoming and very helpful with info on where to eat and drink - and when to book!
'Admiral's Room' very good size, and en suite is huge.
Wonderful house full of character and charm.
The staff could not do enough for us, including getting in gluten free bread for my partner for her breakfast. Highly recommended staying here to anyone stopping in Watchet.
A lovely cottage, perfectly located for everything in Watchet. This was our second stay in the cottage, and we will definitely return again! Watchet is a great place to stay with beautiful beaches and walks.
Really good location for the Quantocks and N Somerset. Given it was Covid time the staff did all they could to make the stay as normal as possible. Clean with good food.
The house and room felt welcoming, and I was pleased with where the house was located in Watchet.
Alison the owner checked a couple times that I had what I needed.
