Wolverhampton has a bad press but is well worth visiting.
Wolverhampton has a bad press but is well worth visiting. It has some excellent leisure facilities, easy access to a number of tourist attractions and beautiful surrounding countryside. The city centre is easy to get around on foot but the use of a car is preferable. Neighbouring villages have a range of independent coffee shops, restaurants and premium pubs.

Needs updating badly , everything looks tired .
Needs updating badly , everything looks tired . Aircon in room was noisy. This does not deserve the current star rating. This was a highly priced room for what you actually get.We booked this as a treat and we're left feeling like it was a chore. Would not stay again

A very quiet and quiet run down town with a lot of closed shops and not much hustle and bustle. The Wulfrun shopping centre was ok but outside of that and the Molineux stadium, there really wasn’t much on offer.

Went out of necessity as our racing syndicate had a runner at the racecourse. Driving in the city is a nightmare so after arriving at accommodation travelled to and from the course by taxi which are very reasonably priced! Would not visit for any other reason!

I enjoyed room service breakfast but considering the cost...
I enjoyed room service breakfast but considering the cost of room and I have mobility issues I felt 4.50 was unnecessary. The restaurant for evening dinner was good albeit frozen cod and chips expensive. I asked for a whiskey with ginger and the most expensive single malt was serviced. Something I never ordered. I felt quite cheated sent it back Parking was good garden very pleasant. The room I paid for was garden view with shower but they put me in a drab dark dreary disabled room with white ugly grab rails and the bed was smaller. People who are lesser abled in any way should have nicer rooms altogether. I refused to stay in this and insisted on the room I paid for which was nice enough but the hair dryer was totally inadequate and out of date. The bedside lamps were far too large and took up all of the room moreover the light given was poor too poor to read. The tv on the wall was far too high and could not be adjusted. The reception table is very high and if you are only 5 ft tall then it’s nearly impossible to see the card machine and fill in the required numbers. The desk has been changed into a height which is totally impracticable as staying before it was not like this Location is good for exploring The City of Birmingham and many other places of interest are easy to find. It seems to me that this caters mainly for weddings as I wanted to stay another night but was told it was not possible as they had a private party and I had to vacate the lounge (very very small) by 3 pm two receptionist made me feel welcomed but another was quite unfriendly.
Overall a pleasant quiet stay but unless you are using all of the health promoting facilities then it would not rate as a four star hotel for me. I would return if the cost could be slightly cheaper. Perhaps 2-3 days break.
This is a really nice place to stay. It had everything, was clean, comfy bed, small functional kitchenette with a larger kitchen available if needed. Parking off street. It had it all. I've stayed in lots of places and hotels, upmarket and budget. Glaisdale offers something different, at a great price, with a kitchenette which is a real bonus. You really cannot go wrong.
Booked to stay while visiting Wolverhampton Racecourse, hotel was brilliant and breakfast was spot on, free parking, we had a drink by the bar in the evening, staff always on hand and are very helpful and friendly.
if you are visiting and looking for a hotel in the area i definitely wouldn’t look much further, couldn’t fault it
All the staff that we had the pleasure of meeting at reception and the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome and they made our stay very enjoyable.
We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were excellent value for money and were enjoyed by all.
Amazing hotel - the view, presentation of the room/hotel as a whole, breakfast was delicious too. I loved the fact that the gym and pool facilities were free with the hotel! This gave us something to do throughout our trip. Also, city centre is not far from the hotel (10-15 mins away).
Excellent location for city centre, train bus n tram with nice friendly staff who were happy to help. Bar area was very nice n was reasonably priced for beer for a city centre hotel. I would definitely use it again if they include breakfast in the price!!
Nice and quiet hotel in the heart of Wolverhampton
with British flair, we had a room with park view (view on the other side is on the parking lot)
the breakfast was very good (needs to be ordered the day before)
excellent restaurant for lunch/diner
I didn't care to leave a review but since I've been pestered a million times. I am leaving a bad one. DO NOT BEG for a Review, it does not ecourage good feedback!
I only stayed here as a Second Choice because the Premier Inn was fully booked.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, we had a fantastic stay in every way! My daughter was fussed over by everyone, which she loved! I would not think twice about coming back to this hotel if we are coming back to Wolverhampton!
The hotel was in an ideal location for us, with parking for the car and the room was an excellent size and clean and tidy. The decoration in the room was good and the bathroom was very good and we were happy with the price we paid
Lovely building and freindly staff...inside is full of character with original Victorian features and ornaments....not many cosey hotels left like this..realy nice breakfast to.....defiantly would recommend AAAAA+
The host is genuinely friendly and helpful. The apartment is clean, spacious, and has a fast wifi, TV with YouTube and Netflix, comfy beds, a cooking ready kitchen, and easy access to grocery store and city centre.
Hotel was very clean ,staff very helpful and friendly ,breakfast was very good, plenty of parking spaces, close to city centre and Wolverhampton football ground, plenty of pubs and places to eat close to Ely hotel
This is a lovely little country style hotel but still close to Wolverhampton. A bit quirky and a welcome change to the usual bland work stays. The welcome is always really friendly. Another great stay.
The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to the city centre and main roads. Good parking facilities the premises have seen better times although the property was under renovation.
