The town of Sineu is small but absolutely stunning, the architecture and narrow streets were extremely picturesque. For such a small town, there was a good selection of traditional Mallorcan restaurants to choose from, all serving excellent food at very reasonable prices. When we stayed, the town was getting ready for their annual fiesta, but the rest of the time it was really quiet and chilled. The market held every Wednesday was excellent and made the town come to life. The only downside is the location. Being in the centre of the island, getting home from an evening somewhere on the coast can be tricky. Therefore we had to ensure we were back before the last train which ran until 10:20pm from Palma. Overall, the town feels like a real undiscovered gem which in a few years’ time will likely be a tourist hotspot in peak season. Definitely worth a visit (or a stay).

The oldest town and former capital of Mallorca, Sineu is situated in the middle of the island which provided us with the opportunity to easily explore by car the entire island. Explore the old town of Sineu and enjoy its Wednesday Market.

A nice town overall with a lovely old town and Placa.
A nice town overall with a lovely old town and Placa. Good vibe provided by local residents rather than tourists with plenty of decent bars and restaurants. Great location on the island. Easy to access pretty much everywhere. Even has rail access to Palma.

The reason we stayed in Sineu is because it was close to the venue of a wedding we were going to. It is charming and very quiet. There is a nice piazza with a few bars and cafes. However I probably wouldn’t return to Sineu as I prefer a more lively atmosphere. Villa Sa Barcella made the trip to Sineu and I would definitely recommend anyone travelling to Sineu to stay at Sa Barcella
Cozy and well decorated house, isolated from other houses. Ideal if you want to have a quiet holiday without neighbours. Although located isolated, grocery shops can be reached in 5-10 minutes in the village of Sineu. The house is also centrally located in Mallorca. Ideal to explore the island. The owner, Esther, is very friendly and is always available to assist. When we arrived there were some local products available as a welcome gift. Although it was november, we still were able to take a dive in the swimming pool.
Breakfast was amazing selection and very quick service. The Iberian ham was my favourite option. They offer fresh bread and daily pastries as well and a La carte breakfast options.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Very attentive and always there when you needed.
The location is beautiful - very quaint town with great restaurants and local bars.
The hotel itself is a beautiful converted home with many of the original details. Pool is great to cool off and they also have a billiards table!
I loved the location of the hotel in the middle of the old town. The building had lots of character.
The room was simple, yet clean and comfortable with a very useful fridge!
I enjoyed having breakfast at the local bar next door, but did not try the restaurant for an evening meal as was only staying a few nights. Sineu train station is in walking distance, which connects with Palma - so there is no need to hire a car to stay here.
I hate to stay in hotels like this one since they are raising the quality standards for other hotels. Most probably we will not be able to find another accommodation to such standards for the last days of our trip.
The hotel is amazing, sparkling clean and very cozy. The owners are really customer oriented and they try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Very quiet place with perfect beds and huge bathroom.
Thank you again!
Absolutely beautiful, decor was insane.
Staff were very accommodating - Annika and Lena were so lovely. And make a fantastic cava sangria and spicy marg! Breakfast and lunch delicious.
Located in a cute little town with lovely restaurants. We’d planned on driving out to see some of the local beaches but ended up spending all of our time in Sineu and in the hotel as it was so lovely. A really nice change from Palma.
Es Picarol Sineu exceeded our expectations! Carl and Jose were the loveliest hosts (and Samba the dog)! Carl waited for us to arrive late at night by the door to make sure we found the hotel ok which was so appreciated and Jose's breakfasts were amazing. They both gave us great recommendations for Sineu and the island. The villa was also so beautiful and we loved hearing about the history of it. We will 100% be back!
Lovely finca set in a big garden surrounded by an olive grove in central Mallorca near the market town of Sineu.
4 good sized bedrooms one of which was en-suite, a very large living-dining area with tall ceilings plus a kitchen, additional bathroom and an outhouse.
We loved the terraces, sun beds and pool, although wished the pool was heated as the water was very cold, swimming in it is not for the faint hearted!
The location, that little town was absolutely perfect site when you want to experience the nature and the romance in a little town at once. The hotel was cozy and intimate. Host was sweet and warm. Breakfast was not too fancy but still had all the elements what one could want: from ham to chocolate crossaint. The bed was also perfect for two persons (it had one mattress instead of 2 separate ones).
Breakfast was an Experience! Like a sampling menu of tasty classics to homemade pastries
The hotel and the rooms were perfectly sized for our needs, being out and about all the time
Parking was easy to find, just on the roads outside
Guillermo, our host, was exceptional and really made the trip. He has such a good attitude towards guests and his work, he is helpful beyond words and very friendly
The breakfast was amazing, rooms were cleaned very well every day and all the tips we got about the island and dinner were spot on, exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of free parking spaces around the accommodation. Location of the accommodation very central with regards of Mallorca. The little town Sineu also very nice and lively, especially during the evening.
I had a nice stay, quite one level up from the street. The hotel is situated in a nice plaza close to an old church, beautiful!
The breakfast was in an restaurant next door, good quality juice, bread and coffee, just perfect.
The owners are very friendly and helpful to answer questions, I good leave my luggage by checking out and pick it up later.
Excellent location in the centre of the island with easy access to everywhere. Local town (Sineu) was also nice with good restaurants and an amazing market on Wednesdays.
Host was friendly and made sure everything was ok.
Villa was spacious with lots of amenities, and beds were very comfortable.
Pool was amazing and kept clean every week.
We had an extraordinary hotel experience in serene Sineu, where the hosts at Es Picarol received us with personal warmth and care. Staying at elegant Es Picarol with its hand-picked interior decoration, artwork and cool yet cozy ambience, along with the noble Samba, was like discovering a treasure.
Carl and José were fantastic hosts, giving us the best recommendations of the area (and the best breakfasts!). The hotel is a lovingly restored gem, completed with artistic flair and true care. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!
We felt very welcome the whole time we stayed and appreciated their hospitality. The room was clean and well maintained.
Also, great breakfast and a cozy and historic vibe from the building itself and the town of Sineu.
Excellent, intimate boutique hotel. Beautiful interior design. Nice pool to relax next too. Very friendly staff who encouraged us to try all of the beautiful breakfast options, which was almost like a taster menu.
The hotel was top notch, beautifully decorated and the staff was excellent! The bed was also super comfy so I slept really well while I was there. I will definitely be back!
