The city is a typical Greek city dependent on sea trade and transport. It also has nice beaches but the harbour as hub for the surrounding islands of Corfu and other islands like Paxos in the Ionian Sea, and therefore there is a lot of sea traffic on the water as well in the city as the main motorway leads from Igoumentisa to Thessaloniki.

I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance.
I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance.
Caught a fairy to Corfu and spent the day there also.
If we had a car it would have been so much better but was too scared to drive on the wrong side of the road being from Australia lol.
The thing that was a disappointment was the fact that there are step’s everywhere and if you are disabled there is no chance to get in and out of shops etc…
Foot paths were uneven and too many stray cats and dogs.

We used the Hotel as a stopover during our holiday, we were using the port as a point of transfer over to the island of Corfu. The hotel and location cannot be faulted. We found a small taverna within 50 meters of the hotel where we ate for the evening.

I always pass rapidly through Igoumenitsa.
I always pass rapidly through Igoumenitsa. This time there was a port strike and I was forced to stay two extra days and nights, and I discovered it is a very nice town. Probably I will always spend the night there again when I pass through. I can recommend the restaurants Ambrosia and Navtaki (near the fantastic Holiday Zigos hotel) and -- in town -- the small fish restaurant Palio Limani. I would also recommend the Archaeological Museum, which is full of interesting objects and very well presented and organized.

A small city with a very nice and clean beach.
A small city with a very nice and clean beach. If you like to swimming in the sea or stay all day close to the sea then this city is the right place.
Unfortunately there’s nothing to see except the sea beach.
This little hotel, looks onto the Main Street where all the shops, cafes and restaurants are. We had a large room with a kitchenette. The beds were comfy, the room was very clean, toiletries were complimentary and there was cutlery and crockery and other appliances in the kitchenette area. The room had a small balcony which had a sea view. The owner met us when checking in and was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this little hotel.
Perfect location for onward ferry journeying ( open the curtains and the boats are right in front of you) Evocative; enhancing the anticipation of your impending sailing. Rooms are just right. Breakfasting is very simple and pleasurable, again with views of people arriving and departing as a backdrop. Staff were all perfectly polite and helpful. I recommend this charming hotel unreservedly.
Thanks to Nick and his family we had a memorable stay in Igoumenitsa. The property is easily accessible, clean, airy, and a perfect place to rest well. The mosquito nets allow you to keep the doors on 2 balconies open overnight. There is a well-equipped kitchen for those that like to prepare meals themselves. Two supermarkets in near proximity are quite handy.
The kindness of Aleka, our host, who not only met us off the bus from Ioannina, but also took us to catch our ferry the next morning! The apartment itself was also very well appointed, and the beers and water given to us by Aleka were very welcome too. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment if you are going to Igoumenitsa.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the owners were amazing, welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast was great and homemade, the rooms were very clean and big with a nice view on the sea and mountains where you can enjoy the calming nature. O highly recommend the hotel
This is the right place if you just have to spend a night in Igoumenitsa and do not want to spend too much on a hotel. The hotel is literally value for the little money you spend. Very friendly staff, and the restaurant has good food. Bur don‘t expect luxury accomodation
Great instructions, great welcome, great base for taking the ferry early in the morning. Bed, toilet and a mini kitchen. When we will come again to Igoumenitsa for sure we will use it as a stop over just not to sleep in the car.
We had a nice room with a small balcony, not a great view but nice and comfortable! It also has a small kitchen with a fridge. It was five minute walking from the city center of Igoumenitsa, with free parking down the street.
I liked location and staff, rooms very clean. It is not the best hotel you can find but for what you need in two or three days of staying at Igoumenitsa it is ok. Price ok also. The receptionist were very nice and friendly.
Newly refurbished room. Absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean. The host was so accommodating. We artist midnight but they were there to meet us in no time. It felt like a luxury hotel. Perfect location.
Staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and good size. The price was excellent. There was a large bakery just a minute walk from the hotel. The ferry to Corfu is right across the hotel.
Thank you very much for hosting us at Thirsty Urban Port Studios. Elina was a great Host and the Appartement was very cozy, clean and welcoming. Perfect for a stay in Igoumenitsa.
Extra clean and beautiful rooms, have a closed car parking, so if you are traveling with motorcycle it is the hotel to stay safely with you bike.
very friendly owners.
Fair hotel, very clean, very responsive personnel. It has everything you need for a good rest.
They also offered us a jar of olives that were simply delicious.
