Ventanas al Mar, hotel in Cabo Polonio

Ventanas al Mar provides beachfront accommodations in Cabo Polonio. Located around a few steps from Playa de la Calavera, the vacation home is also a 13-minute walk from Playa Sur.

It’s a beautiful location, but pictures do not correspond to reality. It can, technically, accomodate 5 people, but stacked among themselves.

Cabo Polonio is a bit of a magical place.

Cabo Polonio is a bit of a magical place. The beach is endless and the sky is amazing at night because of the lack of light pollution. There are some good places to eat or drink but I recommend withdrawing a lot of cash before going there, as some places don’t accept cards.

The scenery and the beaches are unique.

The scenery and the beaches are unique. Cabo Polonio is a beautiful National Park. The sunsets are amazing. But you have to like the very particular vibe of this place, such as lacking basic infrastructure. It is extremely basic while quite expensive. It´s some kind of rich hippies place. Book in advance or you´ll end up in the same hotel we went, which was really bad (Puertas del Cabo). There are better options but be prepared to spend your dollars if you want something decent. We had dinner at Perla del Cabo which was very good, especially the ceviche.

The wind is strong always, so bring at least a hood.

The wind is strong always, so bring at least a hood. There is no place to hide from the sun, so bring something like an umbrella to hide from the sun a little. You can walk basically through the whole city, so it's easy to get to anywhere.

Cabo Polonio is, literally, out of this world, or at least...

Cabo Polonio is, literally, out of this world, or at least it is a new reality. We loved it!! No paved streets, no cars or noises, fabulous food (especially local fish), good beer, good wine, people who don't judge or criticize, a community of locals who help each other and the tourists, a fantastic and long beach for swimming, shelling, walking. It's slow paced, which we vefry much needed as a respite from our hectic lives at home. In truth, it is the ONLY place, of all the places we've been to around much of the world, that we want to return to.

Everything, the location was literally 30m from the beach, it is rustic and has a cute deck to chill where you can watch the sunrise, moonrise or just hang out. Showers were hot and good pressure and can use anytime. Martu was super onto the cleaning and ensuring we were all good during the stay, she was fantastic. The place has a lovely vibe and good for meeting others. It was honestly magical and We were sad we had to leave Cabo Polonio. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Martu. There were 6 cute cats too.

The owner Nancy is very hospitable and gave us appetizers and snacks while sitting on the balcony. She was always smiling and very pleasant. And the food was so good and well priced!! The location is great. I’ve stayed in the small Main Street area of Cabo Polonio and that’s nice as well, but being further away is great because there’s a good view of the town and it can be more quiet. The 4x4 dropped us off and picked us up right at the hostel so that we didn’t have to walk to or from the terminal.

Cabo Polonio is a one-of-a-kind experience. La Perla is the only place in Cabo where you can get the one-of-a-kind experience while at the same time you are comfortable and eat awesome food. It is expensive for the area (not internationally), if you want to go cheap there are many other places, if you want to be as comfortable as you can in Cabo (which you go for the experience and not the perks as there are not many), stay in La Perla.

It is very central in the small village, and it has the rustic vibe that was expected. It had warm water, and the beds were comfortable. Overall it was clean, and the vibe of the hostel and the people there was amazing. Fireplace outside during the night, nice to share with the people there. Very central for Cabo Polonio's size. Really recommend.

Beautiful and rustic hotel. Location, staff and breakfast are great! It is a bit pricy since the room itselt it´s pretty rustic and small. Be aware that there is no outlet or electricity in the room. The bathroom and room has dim lights coming from a solar panel, but you can charge any device in the lobby and the room.

It is a privilege to stay overnight in Cabo Polonio and Mariemar is as comfortable as possible given that the Cabo has no electricity etc. The location is truly exceptional and makes up for everything else. The upstairs rooms are very cozy, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Magical and very romantic.

A very nice atmosphere with very friendly people! At night they turned on so many candles and a bonfire. It was amazing. The place is one minute walking from the beach and one minute to the bus stop. Great place and I would highly recommend staying here for a nice, Cabo Polonio experience!

Best thing by far are the people and the vibe there, you don't need more than that to fully experience Cabo Polonio in a remarkable way. Jose from the staff apart from a great person is also a great cooker. My second third time there and I hope I'll be back there some day
