There are hiking spots all over the place and so much majesty in the views are everywhere but expect a lot of traffic and expect to pay for parking if you leave your car to hike. Expect bike riders everywhere so if you are hiking, it's not so great to have bike riders whizzing by you. Some places have reasonably good food and choices for vegans but you may have to pay a hefty price. There is a lot of great shopping and fun boutiques as well as a place for antiques and stones and minerals.

As one couple told us, people come to visit, return a few times and then move here! Sedona is magical with its positive vibes and fabulous hiking trails. We suspect this may be a blue zone for senior citizens. We will certainly be back!

The Materhorn Inn was excellent and the views around Sedona were spectacular but a couple of days ]were enough for us. I can only take so much of jewellery shops, tat and rip off restaurants. And for the record - America has lost the plot on tips.

Spectacular views from every angle!
Spectacular views from every angle! Such a beautiful town, great little restaurants and shops, a gazillion red clay trails to hike and everyone is happy and friendly. Try Chocolatree even if you are not vegan. Vespa Healthy Italian imports all their bread-making flours from Italy, ferments them so naturally light and gluten free. One main highway which can sometimes get congested in high tourist season but the views instill patience. Need reservations for most good restaurants on weekends to avoid long waits.

Very beautiful place. Excellent hiking and mountain biking.
Very beautiful place. Excellent hiking and mountain biking. Best hikes: From last Jim Thompson trailhead take the Brins Mesa trail to Soldier Pass trail to Jordan to Cibola Pass trail back to TH which is about a 5mi loop. And Munds Wagon, Cow Pies and Hangover Loop Trail and back via Munds which is 8.2miles
Star Motel has a stellar location! I the rooms where comfortable and had all the basic necessities fulfill! I do feel the price was a little high, however, it might be the season chosen for travel! we were comfortable, and it was very easy to walk around town!
the only thing I was not very pleased with was the tv didn’t work to well (the signal was always buffering) but in reality, you don’t go to Sedona to stay in your hotel! so it was ok!
thank you!!
Location outside of the busy central Sedona was ideal . Close to the trailheads and grocery store and some restaurants. Very clean and comfortable room and nice pool/hot tub. The breakfast area is really small though so we took the food to our room and they did run out of the hot breakfast when we got there at 8. Overall a well run hotel and would recommend to others. More expensive than I would usually pay but I feel like it was worth the money
Wonderful hotel, great location (not far from Sedona but situated among the Red Rocks), lots of amenities nearby
Limited continental breakfast but appreciated the Gluten Free blueberry muffins!
We received a complimentary upgrade to an enormous room - it made our vacation so memorable. We loved every bit of our stay! Will be back to this hotel for sure.
Wow- What a perfect location! This little lodge was perfect for my sister and I. Sure, it didn’t have all the frills of a big name hotel but it was clean and the staff was wonderful and helpful every step of the way. I would definitely stay here again for the price. So much to see and do in Sedona and the lodge convenient location.
I really enjoyed our stay at Southwest Inn at Sedona. It is a “Mom and Pop” type hotel. I was greeted by a friendly young gentleman that answered all of my questions and was very helpful. The property was well maintained and clean. Each room had an outdoor sitting area that was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
Marriott rooms never fail to impress. This room was well designed, clean, organized, and smelled fresh. The hello message on large TV was a nice touch.
The whole property is wonderful. If Sedona traffic is too much to bear as it has a habit of doing, just relax at this place and take in the views and easy trails.
This location and the style of this property is fun and the gardens and view are great. The airport messa view is the best in Sedona and you walk from your room !! Get directions from the hotel staff. Tell them you have a dog and it will all go smoothly..Their view is the best in Sedona. You have to stay here.
We were pleasantly surprised finding this affordable gem of a hotel in Sedona. It was clean and quiet. The lady at the front desk was dressed very professional and went the extra mile to show us our room and a excellent place to eat. I highly recommend Sedona Village Lodge.
Quaint motel/hotel just outside of the high traffic area in Sedona. Comfy beds. Pretty views. Quiet serene setting. Room door opens to outside of hotel but this is how almost all of the hotels in Sedona are configured.
This hotel is located just a few miles south of Sedona, near Bell Bluff. Clark's supermarket is only a couple of blocks away. Margarita, the receptionist, upgraded us to the Suite that has a kitchenette.
I have stayed at several hotels in Sedona and Oak Creek. None of them compared to the Desert Quail Inn where everyone is friendly and helpful, and everything is totally clean and very well kept.
Everytime My family and I visit Sedona we always stay in this Hotel.I loved the view of my balcony room. And the pool area.It will be perfect if they offer morning breakfast.
What a wonderful place to stay- super location- easy walk into Sedona- great parking. House was so comfortable, cosy and clean and had everything we needed.
