Carmel is a cute, charming seaside town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Mostly all parking is on-street parallel parking. The Adobe Inn, where we stayed, is located within a block of all the restaurants and shops and even has its own parking garage located below the Inn. At night the town pretty much clears out after 9 or 10, but walking back to the Inn felt safe. The town is also a great base if you are planning on visiting Monterey, 17 Mile Drive, or Big Sur.MariettaUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

Carmel is the jewel in the PCH crown. A beautiful spot with its own personality. The cutest shops, amazing food and outstanding beaches. Super close to Big Sur and also the 17 Mile Drive - make sure you visit Peeble Beach Golf Club!

The morning and afternoon is the best time to spend it in Carmel. During night time it’s not lit up as you think it would be. But during the day it’s absolutely amazing. The little cottage like room was cute and clean, so nice to be able to take our little dog with us, nice to have our own parking space, our door didn’t lock and a staff member fixed it right away, hoping to stay in another little cabin soon, this is our second time, our first cabin had a living room, and spacious. Set in a lot of foliage, trees, bushes, flowers, grass, great small pond surrounded by lounge chairs and tables and chairs, a River Rock BBQ pit, pretty, clear small lights strung over and about; quiet, room itself very comfortable and everything worked; close enough to drive to the enchanting Ocean Ave. Downtown Carmel by the Sea shops within 5 minutes, to enjoy all of the wonderful shops and restaurants.

Check-in was easy and Inge was very helpful showing us everything on the map and giving us parking instructions. It was great to have a fireplace in the room. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee supplies. There are tables outside to have a glass of wine (you can borrow glasses from the office) or lunch and enjoy the pretty flowers on the grounds. It’s an older hotel but charming and well taken care of.

Quiet but still close to everything. This hotel has Carmel Valley Roasters coffee in the rooms and lots of beautiful blooming flowers everywhere you look. The parking is also exceptional as there is a drive through loop behind the hotel and lots of spaces so you are not afraid to drive out for day trips for fear of losing the only space you've got.
