I travelled with my friends and I really did not like the city. People there were rude and not accessible enough for tourists like us. We went to one of the clubs named yakida in night after dinner, the guard simply denied our entry and said only guest list people are allowed. But he was allowing every other person from their own country very easily without checking anything. We felt discriminated there. Tried to ask people here and there but no fruitful response. Addition to this, There was not too many things to see in gothenburg. I really didn’t like it that much. And would not recommend to anyone.

Gothenburg is not that touristic so don’t expect to find a lot of attractions. It’s great for shopping, I specially liked the tons of second hand and vintage stores around. Also, there are so many delicious vegan restaurants. I’m not vegan but I was fascinated. Another tip is to go to the islands around to take a walk and a coffee. You can get there pretty easy and the same ticket for the train serves for the ferry.

You have to go to Hagastaden.

You have to go to Hagastaden. We found a lovely fish restaurant which was a godsend while walking in the blizzard. Strange that the bar Paddys had a man serving who insisted on calling me sir and knew nothing about alcohol. The bar a few doors down; John Scotts closed about 7 pm. This may be usual for Gothenburg, I have no idea.

Very small city so not much to do if you're there longer than 3 days maybe. We went for the Christmas Markets, for 2 nights, so that was the perfect amount of time and we did everything we wanted to do. Lovely atmosphere and the food is yummy (the Swedish meatballs). Liseberg theme park is huge and a good activity. Haga is good for little cafes.

A nice and relatively cheap way to stay in Goteborg. The breakfast was amazing and a good bang for your buck. The location is good. Close to the park and in walking distance of the city center (+- 20 minutes) , although you can also take a tram if you don't like walking. The neighborhood is nice with plenty of little restaurants and supermarkets. The parking was also very good and convenient. It's still rather pricey compared to other European hostels, but you know things are more expensive in Sweden.

Exceptional experience of this newly renovated place! Our room was spacious. Although it's just the two of as a couple. It is perfect for family as there is an added room with a double deck bed in the room. A perfect place in the city centre right beside the biggest theme park. Service was helpful and great from our first check-in upon an early arrival. The public transport was outside too. And the restaurants had impeccable service. The Breakfast spread is a MUST include!

Central location - less than 10 minutes walk to/from Central Railway Station and Bus Station, Lilla Bommen (harbour) is nearby and you can catch boats (public transport ones and private) to other places in Goteborg. Lots of breakfast options to suit various dietary needs. Friendly staff and check-out is till 12pm. Interiors are great, well-thought-out and great use of tech. however this might be applicable to most of Sweden and Scandinavia.

We had a lovely three nights in this hotel. It is pricey like everything in Sweden, but its worth the money. We had a really nice breakfast with diverse choice of milks(vegan, eco, lactose free..) and also fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh filter coffee. Beds are very comfortable, and there are dumbells in the rooms(4kg). We got clean towels everyday, and two bottles of water for welcome, and on the second day which was very kind.

The hotel is located near the city centre of Gothenburg and is still easily accessible by car. Our room was not extraordinary, but clean and despite the orientation towards the street rather quiet. What's really lovable about Hotel Allén is the opportunity to bake waffles in the breakfast room in the evening. As good is the breakfast itself with a wide range of options. Also worth mentioning is the very friendly hotel staff :)

We did pay for the best rom you have at the hotell. It was okay, big and stuff. But we can smell pee in the room. We don't know why. We did pay a lot for this room and that not okay. We did find a card for the last guest. super weird, but the room is big and good and the breakfast is super good. We did not have room service. Why do you don't have that? it is a 5 star hotell that don't have it and that's weird.

The room was clean, bathroom was nice and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was almost nice and they have coffee and tea all day with light snacks available. I will come back here again!

A nice surprise on my 4weeks long trip. Traditional hotel ...at the moment decorated in Halloween mood. Nice job. There is not a negative word to be said about the place. Actually there are my thanks to Moa (reception) and restaurant team for their hospitality and kindness. Walking distance to Attractions Park and also to the city center.
