Beautiful little spot on hill on edge of town. Our first trip to Ballarat and definitely won't be last. Would stay at Woodsmans Hill again. Staff were great, swapped upstairs room to a ground level one for us to save my dodgy knee for roaming around the town. Thanks all.

The fresh baked loaf in the bread maker on arrival was very much appreciated. Discovering eggs in the fridge which came from the chickens in the backyard was a real treat. The attention to detail regarding every aspect of the furnishings and facilities of the cottage and garden surrounds was beyond exceptional. The fireplaces were so comforting and lake so peaceful for a regional getaway. The hotel is centrally located and lots of privacy from other guests. Hotel breakfast in the restaurant was a great feature too. Didn’t know about the on-site spa so would definitely love to book a spa day on our next visit!
