Great location with excellent views. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Onsite restaurant was also really good. Overall a great base for exploring the mountains. I have seen some reviews complaining about facilities - yes it's not a 5 star luxury hotel but you arent paying those prices. Would certainly stay again

The view is beautiful, the balcony very cozy, the bed and pillows really comfortable. The staff is very friendly and always helped us and responded to our questions. The breakfast is vary good and varied. We also enjoyed the welcome drink which was a Madeira wine. The staff was full of energy and helpful. They were able to accommodate us an extra night when our other accommodations fell through. They had an amazing staff including Marco. The receptionist even took her time to help us rent a car , which would have been triple the price if rented online. The spa was wonderful as well as the pool . We will be back.

The pool and jacuzzi are free. The sauna is acceptable for a small charge (5 euro). Also I mentioned that Icome for my bday and a bottle of champagne was waiting me in the room, it was super nice! The staff are incredible kind and profeccional!

The hotel has many facilities (it's also a spa after all). Beds were comfy, shower also nice. Breakfast was pretty good to start the day. The path going down to Curral das Freiras looks challenging, but it's entertaining and very much worth it (and back!).

Our room had a fantastic view and a winter garden style balcony enabling us to enjoy it whatever the weather. The spa has the same view and is a great way to relax after a day in the mountains.
