Situated in the Hirugami Hot Spring area, Sekitaitei Ishida features free WiFi access and free private parking in Achi. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Rooms include a flat-screen TV. Everything about this ryokan is exceptional. Elegant, personal and heartwarming. The service is probably the best I've experienced in Japan; it's personalised, helpful and friendly, without feeling overbearing. The food is absolutely amazing and the dining experience feels like you're being transported to a traditional, authentic Japan, which is a rare thing for modern ryokans to achieve. The onsen is also outstanding; the water quality, the facilities, the cleanliness, the atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Karuizawa is a wonderful vacation destination, but I suggest arriving early as some areas lack streetlights at night. The hotel's close proximity to a 7-11 convenience store is a convenient bonus.
