Location in quiet rural village 25 minutes from ferry terminal, Lovely old Kentish pub kept to a traditional high standard maintaining character. Nice rooms with tea & coffee facilities. spacious garden area for dog to explore. Food was of an exceptional standard prepared by friendly chef, parking good despite not being secure.

The room had no chair and no proper cupboard. The toilet seat was totally defect. Breakfast could not be taken before 8:00am so to catch a car ferry at 09:55 one has to miss breakfast totally. In fact we had no cooked breakfast but still missed our car ferry. The evening meal we had was perfectly OK and the Inn itself is in a very nice village. Nice and quiet.

The Black Pig Public House is a very nice guenuine pub with rooms upstairs. The village is very quiet in the countryside not far from Dover. Perfect if you have to take the ferry early or if you arrive in UK late evening. Good food and breakfast. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome !

The Black Pig is situated in a quiet village in the Kent countryside. Reece, the proprietor was friendly and welcoming and also served a good selection of ales. My single room was small but adequate for a short stay and extremely clean and seemed newly decorated. The English breakfast was excellent and served hot and fresh. I would be very content to stay at the Black Pig again when in the area.

Situated in the Kent countryside and in a small village. Both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. It was good to see that there was a good mix of people using the accommodation and also being used by the local community. I would stay again.

Everything! The staff were friendly and the room was lovely and cosy. The shower was hot with good pressure. There was tea, coffee and bottles of water in the room. The food in the pub restaurant was a mix of English classics and eclectic variations which were delicious, and breakfast was exceptional ! There was ample free parking on site. The pub was amazing and had a separate lovely breakfast area and village store. We were only 20mins drive from Dover castle

This is a beautiful pub in the countryside of Kent. So picturesque in the small village and extremely welcoming when entering the low-level ceilinged bar. Food was excellent for evening meal and breakfast cooked by the proprietor. Recommended as an great stay option. I will definitely be back!
