A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.
First time up north. I loved my experience. Didn't pay to visit any attractions as time constraints didn't allow. But loved the seafront , tower and fun rides. And thought the tram was a great just being able to jump.on and off at will. Loved the piers. Had an ice cream on seafront it was amazing.

We were there the beginning of June the transport system has gone back a lot me and my Husband can't walk very far and rely on transport but there wasn't a lot of it from the Imperial couldn't use our passes on the trams and there were hardly any buses. Blackpool itself is looking very tired

The location was ideal as close to Winter Gardens , the Centre Pier and the beach .
Trip on a tram from Starr gate to Fleetwood is £6-60 per person for all day travel on the tram and bus , great day out.
The piers are worth a walk around just be wary of the wobbly planks .
Comfy trainers are A must as you end walking A lot further than you expect especially if the weather is glorious and warm.
A good variety of place s to eat but be aware that Wetherspoons is absolutely crammed from around 5pm-8pm.

Apart from the accomodation not being as described online, we had a fab time. We are a family with young children so we would highly recommend The Gruffalo & Friends-well organised, kept the kids active and entertained, and the photo opportunities with the characters was a nice touch.
Sealife-was one of the best we have visited, the kids loved it.
Madame Tussauds- again, kids enjoyed this too especially the music and marvel sections!
The highlight of our trip has to be the Tower Circus...its a must! The kids are still talking about it now!!!
Also, a new addition since we last visited is the Elephant trail...we all loved spotting a new one whether it was among the attractions, on the seafront or in the town centre!!!
I was in Blackpool for the marathon, so my main aim was a good night's sleep before the race, and Lee & Chris's Belvedere was great. Lee gave a very friendly welcome, the room was very comfortable (the bed was perfect) and the shower was good. It was very quiet at night and I slept extremely well despite pre-race nerves! The location is great, less than 10 minutes walk from Blackpool North Station and close to the seafront. I'll stay here again when I next come to Blackpool.
Now having stayed in many cheap b&bs and hotels in Blackpool i know what to expect. This Hotel exceeded my expectations and was certainly the best one ive ever stayed at. It was in a great location for the pleasure beach, it was SPOTLESSLY clean. Had great facilities (washing machine dryer microwave and fridge etc in guest services room), breakfast was great. The staff couldn't do enough, very friendly and welcoming. Would 100% recommend and definitely be back in the future.
This hotel couldn't be in a better location. Blackpool seems to have a lot of these hotels as the chains have not made inroads. While modest, the hotel was well maintained and the staff was excellent. Everything you needed you had. The desk was attended 24 hours a day and there is a large room off the front desk if you just want to sit and take a break. I have to reemphasize that this hotel is in an incredible location right by Central Pier.
Both Vaughan & Fiona gave us a big warm welcome as we arrived & were very informative & helpful regarding parking. The Lumada was clean & comfortable with everything you need for your stay.
Excellent location a stones throw away from the tower & central pier.
We've stayed in a few hotels in Blackpool & we would definitely book the Lumada again over them all!
We always go to Blackpool for the lights this hotel is the best we have ever stayed in by a mile.
We loved the room so big we had a beautiful shower. Location excellent near the North
Pier tram stop close to hotel.Parking close to hotel if you have a blue badge you can park outside the hotel for free 😉.we both would like to thank Joe he is a excellent host.
Hotel in great location and great value for the money, stayed in the family room in July 2023 , the staff were so helpful and everything was ready for us coming. Staff lovely and kept making sure we had everything. Been going to blackpool for years , this has to be the best value for money hotel, I will definitely be booking here again. Also great location
Absolutely spotless with loads of Mod Cons (whirlpool bath with a tv, remote lighting, four poster bed, balcony, Dyson fan) this is by far the best Hotel in Blackpool in fact the Country. Claire and Mark are fantastic hosts as are all the staff you honestly won’t find better. A massive thank you and keep up the excellent work.
Location 40 metre from Blackpool seafront. 600 metres at pleasure beach. Staff pleasant enough. Also cheapest we could find. Access to pool table. Despite what I have said about room, the room was okay just some snagging to be done as hotel looked as everything had been refurbished on ground and first floor that I saw
This was by far the best hotel we have stayed in,at Blackpool..It was spotless, beautiful decor and lovely sea views. The hosts Fiona ans Eamon and their family were very kind, helpful and nothing was too much trouble..Our breakfast was delicious. We look forward to returning..Thank you, from
Ged and Barry👍👍
The hotel was spotless, and the hosts were so lovely. Breakfast was the best we've had in blackpool.
Sitting out on the front with a drink was a lovely sun trap.
Car park a street away that was £9.50 for 24 hours
Defo be back here.
Thanks for a great stay!!!
Lovely hotel ,very clean and the staff are very friendly ,rooms are very nice ,location good ,close to everything ,breakfasts are very nice ,we will be staying here from now on when we visit blackpool
It was away from the center of Blackpool, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were lovely , a complete credit to the hotel. The rooms are dated but that didn't change the stay .
close to Blackpool and tram lines, and check in was easy and straight forward with parking at the hotel. park at the hotel for 48 hours was good, easy tram connections to the centre then.
Fabulous place to stay while in Blackpool
Julie & Billy were excellent hosts
The location was central but quiet, & with parking
The room was so comfortable & breakfast was too notch
