Fabulous town, it’s got culture, it’s got architecture, it’s got a great rugby club, it’s got a busy harbour’ it’s got great cafes and restaurants, a stunning promenade and a lot more besides! Check out what’s going on at The Acorn Theatre which is brilliant. For a shortish trip see what’s on at The Minack. Best beaches are Sennen, Porthcurno, the Lelant ones, the St. Ives ones, Hayle Towans and Praa Sands. Perranuthnoe beach is good at low tide. Go to St Ives by train - the view from St Erth into St Ives is breathtaking !

Glad we got tickets for the Minack Theatre and explored the Gobal Telecommunications Museum, took the Coaster bus several tiimes, including to Land's End and walked the Coastal path to Sennen. Enjoyed the Penlee art gallery, especially in the midst of reading "Summer in February." Enjoyed a meal at the oldest pub, and at the Longboat Inn. The staff at the Info Centre were the best - gave us so many tips and set us on the right buses.

i like walking on the promenade, along to Newlyn, took the Mounts Bay coast path to Marazion, took the bus to Trengwainton gardens- lovely to see the magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias - interesting walks round the gardens and a lovely cafe with friendly staff and good food. Visited Trewidden gardens by bus and also took the train to St. Ives- a lovely scenic run along the coast. Penzance town has a nice selection of shops and it is worth exploring the back streets and the area round Chapel street. On previous visits have been to the Morrab gardens and other parks. Penzance is easy to walk round, has a good bus service and the tourist information staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

Went in the end of February, it was a quiet time with everything closing by 10pm, and last buses leaving early, but it's just as lovely if not more so as any other time of the year could be. Even for hiking, if you get ready for the wind, the rain, the fog, the mud and the cold.

Josh is an extremely friendly and helpful host. He gave us a lot of insider advice as to what to visit in Penzance and also in Brighton (where we had a blast in Snooper's Paradise!). During our stay, he always made sure that we have everything we needed. The hotel is well-located and the rooms are comfortable and equipped with everything that one might require. The breakfast room is neat and offers a variety of healthy options, including fresh fruit.

Parking available for 2 or 3 cars round the back of the hotel - opposite tennis courts, or on street with no restrictions. Great shared facilities which are ideal for bringing back a takeaway and using the glasses provided for wine etc. Huge wooden dining table. Room perfectly clean and spacious. Great to use the TV to log into Netflix and Wi-Fi works perfectly. A great place to stay in Penzance. We'll be back again to further explore coastal areas.

Friendly proprietor and the more sociable atmosphere of breakfast in a guest house environment rather than a hotel - an excellent breakfast at that - freshly cooked to guests' 'specifications'. Convenient for buses and trains from Penzance to other Cornish destinations including outstanding views from the South West Coast Path tackled after a hearty breakfast and a packed lunch requested. Access to kitchen facilities are a bonus.

This apartment is in a perfect location to visit penzance, Marazion, St ives & many more beautiful places including the beach that's walking distance. Spacious & very well equipped with everything you need. Fantastic views of St Michael's Mount. We visited the Mount view hotel that's in walking distance of the apartment that offered great food at a good price. Bus service outside the house every hour.

Simply perfect in all respects and that’s coming from a couple of rather picky customers. If you are looking for a room of boutique hotel standard in a perfect location in Penzance without paying a silly price look no further. Ali was wonderful and so helpful to accommodate a last minute change of plan due to family illness.

Excellent choice of breakfasts including cooked to order. Personable, helpful owners made us feel welcome! Good location for us to walk from train and around Penzance, and not uphill! Liked the bottled milk in tiny fridge for tea and coffee, and the books to read.

Quiet location and very short walking distance to town. Chose the hotel as it was near the train station. Penzance has very good restaurants and the hotel’s restaurant is one of them. Will certainly stay here again in the room with sea view.
