The staff throughout were some of the most friendly, helpful professionals I’ve experienced in a hotel and I’ve travelled extensively for years. The breakfast was wonderful; very tasty and what views of the harbour. The bar downstairs again excellent food, well made and served drinks and the view was amazing. Reception couldn’t be better and please relay my appreciation to them. Many thing we liked but great that so many visitors were allowed to bring their dog into the hotel.

Staff was super friendly. We also had food at the restaurant which was amazing, cocktails were great! Room was big enough, nothing to complain about. We also went on the short walk to the beach from the property and the view was well worth it!!!

Falmouth is a vibrant place with plenty to see and do.
The town is full of interesting shops and small businesses.Lots of choice for places to eat.Its not far from the:lost garden of Heligan, and the Eden project.
Has its own Castle.Beautiful small sandy beaches. My only bug bears are its very busy in summer, quite expensive and has alot of fast moving traffic ,which is a bit scarey if your on foot.If you struggle with walking it is very hilly and lots of uneven narrow cobblestone pavement.

Falmouth is a pretty little harbour town, the surrounding area is breath taking and there are alot of little coves all along the coastline. I have often visited Cornwall and has never visited before.
I will most definately be visiting again, we stayed 2 nights one night at the Anacapri which is opposite the beach and the 2nd night in a little house over looking a nature reserve. Definately my favourite part of Cornwall. We went on the 1st June and it is noticeably more chilled than the northern Cornish Coast. HIGHLY recommend

A lovely coastal town with a busy redeveloped harbour and a National Maritime Museum facilities. Smaller cruise liners evidently also make stop overs at the town.Good eating options and even has a Trago Mills: a West country independent store found in several locations which stocks everything from phone leads to carpets! It also has a beligured yet working railway station as well as Gardens to explore. I ate an evening meal in the town at Fuel cafe: all locally sourced items of fish and chips, cheesecake and cream ( clotted, of course) with bottled local Rattler cider, followed with a Cornish coffee. Venue recommended.

Good informative free guide available from tourist information office - helped us choose activities that would make the most of our short stay.
Good choice of shops and restaurants. The sea/river is constantly present. The views across the water are amazing..
Recommend taking one of the ferries to the other side - St. Mawes, the gardens ........
The National Maritime museum is fascinating and warrants a second visit

Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!
Honestly I cannot rate this hotel enough!! We stayed in a king bedroom, and it was very clearly newly redecorated and it was lovely, the bed was so comfy and the room was so clean! We stayed with our dog and only paid a £5 charge for him to stay which is incredible value. We had a slight issue with our toilet flush, but someone was at our door within 3 minutes when we told them about it. There customer service was phenomenal, I would recommend this place to everyone for a nice cheap place to stay in Falmouth!
It was my second stay at Poltair and was just as enjoyable as the previous one. This place is a gem: comfortable beds, large room with a lovely view and a little balcony. This is a small guest house and the owners take very good care of the place and their guests. The staff are all lovely. There are many little extra touches too, such as a little bottle of wine and chocolate in the room on arrival. I will definitely choose them again when I am next in Falmouth.
Such a great place, when I booked I was just looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights as I just needed a room to stay in. The room was immaculate, loads of plugs. Free WiFi, new tv with loads of channels without the faff. I genuinely loved it and would chose it over a hotel next time I’m in Falmouth!
A true gem of a place! Genuinely nicer than any hotel/guest house that we have stayed in when in Falmouth. Spotlessly clean, super central Falmouth location and well appointed throughout. The hosts have thought of everything and we will definitely be back for further visits. Great value!
The facilities were nice, room clean and dining/bar just fine. We learned that the area hotel is in in Falmouth is a bit industrial, so it wasn't quite as tourist friendly as other cities/villages we stayed, but nothing wrong with that. It's just what the city is.
The kitchen was fully supplied with all we would possibly need.
Everything was so clean and still looked as new.
The location was perfect for where we needed to be.
Falmouth is lovely and I can recommend going to St. Yves, beautiful fisher town (go by train)
This hotel offered a truly serene and secluded escape. Its perfect location, nestled far away with its own garden/forest and proximity to the beach, made it an ideal choice for a peaceful and quiet getaway. I thoroughly enjoyed the tranquil ambiance.
The house was absolutely spotless, we had great communication from the host, the facilities were superb, the views were lovely the location was spot on. It was a fabulous stay here and we'd definitely return if we were to come to Falmouth again.
The hotel property was beautiful with a stunning location next to the river and just a few minutes walk from Falmouth town centre. The staff were very professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent.
Lovely hotel and good base for us in Falmouth. Spacious room & lots of lovely hot water in bathroom 🙂.
Decent breakfast & all the staff were very pleasant.
We will return again this year
The room and shower were immaculately clean. Lovely view over to Falmouth and surrounding cove. Really nice family hotel. Superb breakfast and staff helpful and friendly at all times.
Unfortunately I didn't have breakfast because the chef had to go out and get bacon. Meaning it would be too late as I had other arrangements. The hotel is absolutely beautiful.
beautiful property, fabulous room and magnificent breakfast. staff were also excellent. We have stayed in Falmouth several times, but this has been our best hotel stay yet.
