The Old Village of Murter, known locally as "Selo," is the historic heart of the island of Murter, located in central Dalmatia. This original settlement dates back to at least the 13th century, when it was first mentioned in historical records. The house is located in the centre of this beautiful village, known for its traditional stone houses, many of which are now used as second homes. With very few properties available for rent, the area remains peaceful and serene, especially outside the busy summer season. The Old Village follows a one-way traffic system, with access only from the top of the village. Parking is private and limited, but you'll have a reserved space available for a small daily fee. Just a short walk from the house is the beautiful chapel of St. Rocco, and the picturesque Cigrada Beach is nearby, one of many stunning beaches on the island. You'll also find plenty of lovely restaurants within walking distance. With only four villages in total, Murter offers a charming and intimate island experience.
