Renowned as the world’s fashion and design capital, Milan is never short on places to see and things to experience. The stunning architecture of the Duomo di Milano and the famous La Scala theatre are just a few of the city’s breath-taking attractions. For a more intimate adventure, the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie with Leonardo da Vinci's “Last Supper” lets you view a masterpiece from Italy’s past.

Visit the FieraMilano and Salone del Mobile, among the world’s largest and most prestigious furniture and design fairs or have a stroll in the Quadrilatero Della Moda district to admire unique creations from the most famous Italian fashion brands: Gucci, Versace, Armani, Prada or Dolce & Gabbana.

The Navigli and Porta Romana districts are famed for restaurants and bars serving delicious Lombard cuisine and the very popular aperitivo. Make sure you try sweet delicacies at the chic Caffé Cova, founded in 1817, or another historical café, Zucca, in the Galleria.

We toured the Duomo (be sure to skip the line and use fast track for roof option), Sforza Castle, saw the Last Supper painting (be sure to check days closed), use the metro, take the train to other cities, and ask for aperitivo during happy hour. Milano is now a close tie for favorite city in Italy (Firenze still my favorite)

Milan was dirty and overpriced. The cost of an influx of tourists. Like all cities balancing economics and localvresidents is tough, Milan isn’t succeeding, in my opinion . I believe locals are missing out

It is worth to spend one and a half day. Very crowded, but not a city that deserves so much popularity for tourists. Only Duomo Cathedral is a distinctive and must see visit. Last supper museum is not possible to visit because of reservation. It is always not available. Other museums and places have no attractiveness compared to other cities.

Staying in an apartment near the Duomo has it's ups and downs. Firstly getting supplies from supermarkets which are say a 20minute walk away. Secondly there are so many people around the Duomo however it is lively and there is always something to attract your attention. It is definitely a place to stay and go out to other areas like Brera. There is a good tram system which will transport you away from the Duomo into these outlying areas. Expensive, maybe just a little around the Duomo, however on the whole it is comparable to other big cities. What makes it epensive for Australians is the exchange rate of 57c for our $ I would go back in a heartbeat

We really really liked our receptionist. He was friendly, he knew the answer to every question and the best thing off all - he knew how to speak english (which is very hard to find in Italy). The location is a bit far from city centre but nevertheless it has good connections - by bus pr with metro, the camp even provides you with two taxi numbers. Lastly - air conditioner is life saver. It can get pretty hot in Milano and the best thing at the end of the day is nice and cold bungalow.

When we arrived at the Hotel quite late, 10:30ish, the guy on reception was informative, helpful & welcoming. The location of the hotel was good with regards to distance from Milan station and walking distance to the main sites within Milan city centre. The room on the 4th floor was a good size with a window onto the street outside.
