Very good hotel for the category of 4 stars in Egypt. Most other 4 stars hotels are not the same. In spite of old building in tiny street but hotel room has all new amenities to the standard. Staff are so cooperative the fat man in reception and the young lady in kitchen. Good internet and air conditioning and fridge and heater in bathroom.

Alexandria is a city full of history and character, but it’s definitely an acquired taste—especially during the summer months from July through late September when it becomes extremely crowded. The traffic can be overwhelming and is by far the most frustrating part of the experience. That said, if you must visit, I highly recommend staying in the Montazah area. It offers a unique glimpse into Alexandria’s glorious past with its royal gardens and sea views—truly a nostalgic and serene corner of the city. For those seeking vibrant beach life and modern nightlife, the North Coast (Sahel) is a far better alternative than Alexandria during Summer season (July to September). Alexandria has its charm, but it shines brightest in the quieter, cooler winter months.

An amazing city with enormous history and significance.

An amazing city with enormous history and significance. I wish I'd planned my trip better, but tourist information isn't hugely available. I think we saw two other Europeans there, which for me felt like a win in being somewhere not many have the bravery to try. A truly wonderful experience in a country where locals are genuinely welcoming, friendly and accommodating.

A mus visit city, I would say 5 days needed for a comprehensive first visit, walkable un most areas, I didn't find streets that you can't cross like many in Cairo, lots to see and do, the 5 days I recommend are enough to keep more for the second visit. There many great places to eat, see food and international too

I am married to a Greek Alexandrian.

I am married to a Greek Alexandrian. Visits in Alex are speaking to my heart. We are Egyptian dishes lovers so whatever I say would be not enough. Alex is my second home. Friendly people. Helpful. Food is superb. You may serve yourself with European dishes also. Gleem Bay and several other restaurants around Carrefour City Center Mall serve a lot of yummy dishes. So many places to go so many time. Historical parks . Zoo. Antoniades Gardens. The Library. Cavafys Museum. Greek Roman Museum. Catacombs. Shalalat.. Taxi is the easiest transportation and still cheap.

A typical Mid sea city with great weather and nice beaches. The people are very pleasant and helpful. The food is amazing specially the sea food beside the price is vey cheap. There are many nice places to visit where Alexandria smells the cosmopolitan culture where you can visit the Greek-Roman sites and the pharaonic sites as well along with typical Italian modern Achitect. The beaches are very nice specially if you go to west Alexandria where the beach sand is white and blue sea water.

There are NO money exchange places.

There are NO money exchange places. In regular banks it is too crowdy. Do not bring euros because here 1 eur = 1 USD!? Credit card accept everywhere, even in small shops. Do NOT rent a car! Way they drive is unacceptable! Taxy is very cheap. Petrol price is 0,30-0,40 euro so you can drive around city for few euros. Old russian car Lada should be mandatory photoed - it is impossible they still work! A lot of them? Do not react if you see man pissing in the middle of the street! Museums should be mandatory visited! A lot of things to see! Very picturesque country! Recommend!

Terrible experience again in Egypt! I/we tried to call and text the owner, number incorrect not working! No communication nothing. Hours and hours later got response when i already asked for free refund. Confirmed but could not find the email for free cancellation blablabla... In other words Egyptian style, not being honest and being offensive and more. Well the truth hurts, escalated the case to several parties. DO NOT BOOK here!

The hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious and equipped with comfortable beds. We had a direct sea view from the 10th floor! The pool is heated, which is essential in winter, and the fitness center is very well equipped. The breakfast is extensive and diverse! I appreciated that many Egyptians use the hotel. We were offered a complimentary late check-out! The only downside was the very slow Wi-Fi.

Madam Dina is the best person in all Egypt, always helpful and smiled. She was caring about me like about member of her family. Privet driver and boy from the reception were also very gentle. Definitely if I'm in Alexandria ill go back there. The city is so beautiful, you must also try some fruits which are more tasty than in Europe 😍
