The location, close to the fort AND the city center. The view over the city and the Fort, the staff, the room, the food, simply amazing! I never give out a 10/10, but this hotel deserved it. Next time I go Halden, I stay at Fredriksten Hotell again.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The coffee and cake,, evening meal and breakfast were all very good with lots of variety of food choices and again the staff ovrseeing the meals were very hard working. Just a delightful place to stay.
