The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—they even gave us helpful tips on exploring the area. The room was spotless, modern, and had everything we needed (comfy beds, strong AC, and great WiFi). If you’re visiting Yangshuo, this hotel is a no-brainer. Great service, clean rooms, and an unbeatable location. 10/10 recommend!

It was super easy/cheap to DiDi back and forth if needed

Good seafood just too bad the fishing season close from May to July otherwise there would be lots of selections. I think is still lots to eat.

The main attractions of Lanshan Wangyue Hotel are the outstanding location in a village not too far from the town of Yangshuo, but with a feeling of old rural China and magnificent unobstructed view of the karst peaks in all directions; and the friendly service by the owners, Mark Ma, Li Wu and Siwei, and their hard-working and helpful staff. Additionally, the rooms are commodious and offer full views-- distant mountains from the front, the village and close mountains on the back side. The beds are new and great for sleeping, plus the rooms have good insulation and are very quiet. The proprietors find out what the guests wish to do, and custom arrange and lead excursions into the surrounding countryside. In an area that has lots of tourists (almost all domestic Chinese), they can take guests on bike trips or hikes to places that no one else visits. Ask them to take you on the half hour climb up to the old Qing Dynasty bandits lair in a cave high above the surrounding countryside, or to one of the ancient villages in the area. So much to see and do in the area, with some of the finest scenery in China.
