This boutique hotel is directly located in Hamburg city center, a 1-minute walk from the Neuer Wall shopping street and a 5-minute walk from the Jungfernsteig. The location is very close to the Jungfernstieg which is a lovely walking and shopping area. The room is exceptional. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, and the little extras like a shoe polishing cloth. We have to leave early in the morning, before 7am, and we were able to make cappuccinos in the bar area near reception which was a welcome start to the day. The valet parking process was smooth, helpful and immediate. We couldn't have been happier.

The small suite was very clean, in a nice neighborhood & was furnished with all you needed for a week stay. Great hot shower. Able to easily reach points of interest by bus/ metro or train after walking to those locations.

The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel located on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. Room, breakfast, facilities all excellent. The bar is a "must have" were it only for the spectacular views of the Alster and the city. We treated ourselves also to a dinner in the Lakeside restaurant. Great menu, very creative and delicious dishes, and the wine pairing offered was for the most part super.
