Located within a 3-minute walk of Manbo Beach and 11 miles of Pine Garden, The Moment Hotel Hualien by Lakeshore provides rooms in Shunan. Super helpful front desk staff next door. They helped us check in and told us all about things to see and do in the area, and about a dance show that evening and any and all dining opertunities. It was nice that they let us use the pool/hot tub in the more expensive hotel next to us, and let us use bikes for 2 hrs for free. The location on the beach is lovely. The pool was so nice and clean. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and the hotel looked dramatic against the mountain behind it.

1.3 miles from Ruisui Railway Station in Ruisui, Yen Hotspring offers accommodations with access to a hot spring bath. A luxurious Japanese styled room with a private hot spring bath. It was the ultimate way to relax after a long day of biking. This was our favorite stay during our time in Taiwan by far. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast provided was delicious, there is a pool, and a beautiful courtyard to lounge in. Looking forward to returning to this little slice of paradise away from the hustle and bustle.

Located in Hualien City, 1.8 miles from Beibin Park Beach, Champ De Rose Hotel features views of the mountain. It was very clean, building is very new (3 years) and staff was super helpful. We experienced some earthquakes there and felt safe. Parking fee was included. Hotel offers a wide variety of choice and is presented as pictures.

Jiang's B&B 江院子庭園民宿 offers accommodations in Ji'an, 26 miles from Taroko National Park and 1.5 miles from Lian Cheng Lotus Garden. We had an extremely pleasant and welcoming stay. The hosts were such a warm and friendly couple and their dinner is so sumptuous and yummy. We were caught in the earthquake and we had to stay another day. The hosts took such great care of us and helped us with arrangements to leave Hualien - giving us lifts to the train stations, checking train times and possible routes. I highly recommend staying here.
