We had a really good experience at the Kindness hotel. Staring from the front desk that was always sufficiently staffed and competent. Our rooms were clean (!), spacious and everything worked properly (temperature control, Japan style toilets etc). Breakfast was sufficient (some suggestions for improvement in the other section). Additionally, there were two coffee machines available in the lobby at all times and an ice cream and snack bar open most of the time And they served dinner every night. I would absolutely stay in this place again, very good value for money. The location is close to the train station which was convenient on our arrival and departure. Otherwise the neighborhood is not especially nice. But we got around (to hikes) with a driver and explored the town on foot.

Featuring city views, 光域文旅 in Hualien City provides accommodations and a shared lounge. This homestay offers air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony. The room was beautifully furnished. We also enjoyed Disney+. The housekeeper is very friendly. The room was very clean.

Located within a 3-minute walk of Manbo Beach and 11 miles of Pine Garden, The Moment Hotel Hualien by Lakeshore provides rooms in Shunan. Lots to like. Clean, comfortable. We put our family of 7 in a room that sleeps 8. Shared bathroom was super clean with private stalls and toilets. They also had a dog hotel for around $30 a night for the pooch. Had a fully stocked kitchen that we did not use but looked amazing.

1.3 miles from Ruisui Railway Station in Ruisui, Yen Hotspring offers accommodations with access to a hot spring bath. The staff is really friendly and the breakfast is really good. The spa is really nice !

Located in Hualien City, 1.8 miles from Beibin Park Beach, Champ De Rose Hotel features views of the mountain. Reception staff's English is ok. They will ask you to choose your breakfast option the night before which cuts down on waiting time in the morning. However, any special request for breakfast might get lost between communications from reception to kitchen staff.

Located in Fengshan in the Hualien County region, Ardennes Villa provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. The accommodations feature a spa bath. Love that it's an adults only resort and set in the middle of the fields. Each unit is huge and has a really nice tub and steam bath in the room. There were also bikes and afternoon tea. Breakfast was fabulous!
