Don't be fooled by the pictures, there was nothing good about this place. To get to the apt, you have to go to the back of the house, and it was dark we had to use our phones' flashlights. We were greeted by a dog. The entrance is quite ugly and dirty, there was a table with food still there a cutting board and soda or beer cans. The building door was very dirty, the stairs and hallway were dirty, and as soon as we opened the door to the apartment, the smell of smoke (like if someone had just been there smoking) and stable was so bad we had to spray perfume to mask the smell. It was already after 10 pm, and we drove 30 minutes to get there from Lauterbrunner. We were tired, so we had no option but to stay there. The kitchen cabinets were dirty, missing shutters, and one of the rooms didn't have curtains, MOLD on one comforter. The laundry room in the hallway had so much junk and trash and stuff thrown in there it's not even funny. It was just so nasty. When I opened the window of my bedroom there were clothes hanging. Extremely expensive for one night, not even worth half. Oh and the keybox is under the window frame in a very inconvenient place to reach. We felt unsafe there and neither of us slept well. No A/C and we couldn't open the windows because there's noise from traffic since the house it's right by the road. Terrible stay,!

The studio apartment is large for a studio, with the sitting room separate from the bedroom, and a separate foyer. The bathroom is large, with a large shower stall and a good selection of toiletries. The kitchen is minimal, with a small refrigerator, a microwave, a Nespresso(!) coffee machine, a toaster, and an electric kettle, plenty of dishes and flatware, tea bags, and coffee pods. There is a folding rack for hanging laundry. There is parking available on the property. The location was ideal for us -- not in the center of Thun (which can be overrun with tourists), a few steps from a bus station, across the street from the River Aare, about a 1 km walk along the banks of the Aare and Lake Thun from a boat landing. Our hostess arranged for us the "Panorama card", the local tourist card that allows free rides on the public transport busses and reduced prices on museum visits. We enjoyed very much eating at the nearby Bistro Promenade, which specializes in soups, located less than half a kilometer from the property.
